i hate hate asking people for help but I really just want to pass this class. I don't get if I get a D in the class I just need to pass this. Math is the only thing that has ever held me back.
This class doesn't even count towards my GPA for christ sake.. that's how "basic" it is. This is the last class I need before regular level math and then I'm done with Math hopefully forever.

I'll do my part.
1 b.
get a common denominator which will give you :
5z ------------- - Z(Z+3)(z-2)
3(z-2) ---------------- Z(Z+3)(z-2)
then
5z - 3z + 6 ----------------- Z(Z+3)(z-2)
then
2(z+3) ---------- Z(Z+3)(z-2)
finally
2 ---------------- z^2 - 2z
I havn't done this kind of algebra for years but if my memory is correct that is how you do it.

#1...
x2+xy+2y2 ------------------- / (x2-y2) x2+4xy+4y2
=
(x+2y)(x - y) ------------------- / (x+y)(x-y) (x+2y)(x+2y)
= ((x-y)/(x+2y) --------------------- (x+y)(x-y)
= 1/(x+2y) ---------------- (x+y)
= 1/(x+2y) X 1/(x+y)
= 1/(x+2y)(x+y)

ax+b = 3x-d
b+d = 3x-ax
b+d = x(3-a)
b+d ------- = x 3-a
