When you promote matt millens top assistants to run the franchise what do you think is going to happen? There is no way it could have been completely his fault

I don't like Stafford at all, I think Sanchez winds up being significantly better.

I hope someone takes Drew Willy late, I think he has a chance at being a steal.

From about last October till February, I thought Stafford would be a complete bust. I think there is a chance for him with the Lion,s but there is no way he was worth the #1 pick. Having said that Aaron Curry and Jason Smith look to be the 2 top prospects who cold slide a few spots today? Coincidence? I doubt it. The Lions are probably still behind when it comes to scouting since they have about everyone the same but Millen.

Yesterday on NFL Radio they asked Pat Kirwin and someone else about how much of a consensus the league had Stafford over Sanchez. He said he knows that at least 12 teams like Sanchez better and a lot have them rated equally. Stafford does have his teams, but he isn't the overwhelming #1 QB in this draft if he is the #1 QB at all

I saw a list in Sporting News Today by NFL Officials and Scouts of the most sure picks in the draft.
Sanchez was on the list, Stafford wasn't.
Sanchez started one year, Stafford started four. Am I missing something?
Anyhow, Aaron Curry was at the top of the list and if I had the #1 pick, he's who I'd have taken.

The Lions have never had a good QB. Literally, last decent one was Scott Mitchell in the mid-90's. It's a smart pick for their franchise. It won't ever turn around unless they can get a franchise QB. If Stafford doesn't pan out, oh well. But the Lions getting another defensive player isn't the solution to their issues.

I also believe the Lions have another 1st that they can use to beef up their offensive line.
Stafford's offensive line at Georgia was always pretty weak

Yep,those teams only won because their defenses were so good. Not because of them for sure. I mean I guess you can give them credit for not throwing interceptions and losing it but yea it definately pays off to have a good QB.
