If you take the first 11 games of the season he had 20 TDs 13 INTs and a QB rating around 97 and a completion percentage over 70%. If he would have finished the last 5 games the same way he started he would have ended up around 30 TDs 18 INTss 3800 passing yards..... He would have been in MVP talks to be honest. And that is in an offense he didn't know.
If he still wants to play and will be dedicated to fully learning the playbook he would be a great pickup for the Vikings. With that defense and running game they would be a threat to win the Super Bowl for goodness sakes.

if i were a Vikings fan at first I'd be hell no, then I'd stop to think of who we have at QB in Minnesota and be excited even if it were Jeff George they were in talks with(whom I've heard can still throw a deep ball out of the effin stadium)

umm....He was very good in NY last year until he got hurt. He was great two years ago in Green Bay. I don't think his play is an "ebarrasment" at all.; LOL, he was very overrated as a Jet prior to getting "hurt". It's all crap. He tore apart one shitty defense, but that doesn't mean he was particularly good. I didn't think he had many good games as a Jet at all. The OT vs. New England was good. Injuries don't lead to the kind of absolute stupidity he all season. People claim it was the last half, but that's BS. He wasn't hurt when he dumped an int in the end zone vs. the Chiefs. And his problem wasn't arm strength; it's that he throws no look passes down the sideline whenever the blitz comes. He is an idiot out there, and his arm strength didn't hold up, but he was too stupid to recognize it. Injury, my ass. He was good while they played shitty defenses. Take out the Cardinals game and you get a really miserable season. This guy is a joke, and his career is pretty soon going to be defined by his ridiculousness. Let the Vikes enjoy him. He can't go away fast enough. I hope Farve comes back and shuts up all these Jets fan that think there was no way he could have been hurt. He had an injury on his throwing shoulder and had the jets in first after beating the Titans. He is still a good qb at this point and if the vikings get him WATCH OUT TIGA

Sad as Minny's QBs are he may be an upgrade. But he's at best an above avg QB pretty much. Sure as hell not worth all the publicity he gets.

what a fucking bitch. he used to be my favorite athlete, my hero. then what he did last year was bullshit, i lost all respect for him. and now for him to do this? its ridiculous. he alienated half his fans by being a little bitch last year, but there were still people who were too forgiving. now he's lost all his fans. he's just sealing his fate, he will always be remembered for this. what a dick. Their are a lot of Favre fans and follow him wherever he goes. People became jet fans I am sure they will become Viking fans.

Well, they Captain Turnover in Sage Rosenfails right now, so Favre would definitely be an upgrade.

ok... Favre was a bad fit in NY. Schottenheimer had to simplify the playbook yet Favre still couldn't really grasp much of anything. Timing with receivers was bad and he made some flat out awful decisions under pressure/in clutch situations (end zone interception vs. KC, throwing across the field under pressure vs. i forgot, quick throw in 4th quarter vs. 2nd Miami game). Shoulder injury surely had an effect on his season but fact is that he wasn't in his comfort zone and he struggled. I don't like him as a QB but fact is that if he's fully healed from the injury, he still has the physical tools to play. If he's dedicated and wants to learn the playbook starting in mini-camp, not training camp or a week before the season, and realizes that the offense should still run through AD, no doubt he adds a dynamic that the Vikings are sorely lacking. I agree to some extent, I do not think he was a bad fit for us, he just joined us too late. He did have us rolling after that Titans game. A lot of it was our shitty defense that fucked us over in the end. Mangini was a joke as well.

Then again, Rosenfails was one of the Colts's best players last year...

i dont get how favres actions are lame. he had the intentions to be retired and done, but when a team with a chance to win the NFC comes out and wants him and it is a similar O to what he used to be in, why the hell not come back? Exactly I don't care, but to Minnesota?!? Come on now...

Their are a lot of Favre fans and follow him wherever he goes. People became jet fans I am sure they will become Viking fans. There's a huge difference between the Jets and the Vikes. A lot of people here liked the Jets because of Favre. But everybody here hates the Vikings with a passion. Feelings of hate for the Vikings are just as strong as feelings for the Packers. He will be disowned if he ever puts the Vikings jersey on. And at this point, he's mostly doing it to spite the Packers, even though we made a very sound business decision in not letting him back. He just doesn't understand that, he thinks one man should be bigger than an entire organization. And yeah, you gave us some great years Brett, but at some point, you just have to GTFO.
