I love the Historical Team Performance and Team History sections. It's really cool to see who holds what record for each team and how well or poor each franchise has done. I look at it all the time. Yee! Anyway, I just wanted to gather up some interesting tidbits from my browsing.

Team Performance History
Top 5 Franchises (Wins):
1. Lakers, 1239-893 (.581)
2. Knicks, 1231-901 (.577)
T3. Sixers, 1215-917 (.570)
T3. Bucks, 1215-917 (.570)
5. Sonics, 1149-983 (.539)
Pretty familiar names on the top of this list. The Lakers, Knicks, Sixers, and Bucks have all been mainstays at the top of their respective conferences for much of the duration of BBS. The Sonics are a good bit behind the top four but they have been a very successful franchise.
Top 5 Sucky Franchises (Lack of Wins):
1. Hornets, 904-1228 (.424)
2. Clippers, 940-1192 (.441)
3. Spurs, 965-1167 (.453)
4. Bulls, 968-1164 (.454)
T5. Pacers, 978-1154 (.459)
T5. Cavaliers, 978-1154 (.459)
Some pretty ugly stuff here. The Hornets, far and away, have been the worst franchise in BBS. They've only made the playoffs three times! The future is a bit brighter with megastar Morrison, but they have a lot of work to do to catch other cellar-dwellers.
- 15 teams have won championships (Celtics, Heat, Nets, Knicks, Sixers, Pistons, Bucks, Raptors, Mavericks, Jazz, Grizzlies, Lakers, Blazers, Rebels, Sonics). Obviously, the rest have not. However, only the Hornets, Hawks, Wizards, Pacers, Rockets, Wolves, Spurs, and Clippers have failed to make the Finals. Only the Knicks, Heat, Sixers, Mavericks, Grizz, Lakers, Blazers, and Sonics have won multiple titles.
- The Hornets have made the playoffs 3 times. Haha. The Hawks are the only other single-digit playoff franchise with 8 appearances. Just to pile on this poor franchise, the Hornets have 9 playoff wins. Every team other than the Hawks have more appearances in the playoffs than the Hornets have wins.
- Despite the Hornets porous playoff history they do not have the worst playoff win % in BBS. That proud distinction rests in Houston. The Rockets have a .342 win percentage in the postseason.
Team Records
- The Sixers hold the record for most PPG in a season with 123.5 in 2025.
- The Blazers hold the record for the least PPG allowed in a season with 83.3 PPG in 2000. Times have certainly changed in BBS! The Blazers also hold the record for most TOPG in a season with 18.9 per game in 2024.
- The Pacers hold the record for BPG in a season with 13.4 per game in 2018. The Nuggets hold the steals record with 12.0 per game in 2003.

- Derrick Rose, the 2009 Slam-Dunk Champion, is the oldest All-Star Weekend winner still in the league.

- The tanking machine, Terrell Watts, holds the TOPG record for a single season with 5.7 a game in 2024 with the Blazers. Watts is so bad that it's deemed tanking merely having him in your line-up.
- Yao Ming had 72 double-doubles in 2005 with the Pacers. LeBron had 19 triple-doubles in 2017 with the Sonics.
- MVP Salvatore Moretti set the FT% record last season with a stunning .964%. He didn't miss a single FT in the playoffs of the same year.
- LeBron James scored 40,206 points in his career. That's a lot. He also has, fittingly, made the most FG's with 15,258.
- Gilbert Arenas made 3219 3P's in his career.
- Dwight Howard, still going strong, is scattered across the record book. He holds the record for rebounds (21313), games (1731), blocks (5429), FT's (9841), and double-doubles (1229). He has had a solid career.
