I really don't see why. Wouldn't Spence be able to re-sim from the point he left off at? I don't get FBB but assuming he can, then no reason to stop simming IMO.

I think the issue is with trades and such. If Spencer determines he wants to start from where he left off, there will probably be a good deal of people that have changed their teams a number of times via trades/signings/etc. If they all realize that those might be reset, then I don't see a point to stop simming, but otherwise, I'd say ceasing all operations would be the best route.
