I know you said almost anyone can be good, but that isn't true. DBW doesn't just come across rapes, he is making the offers. Fuck some people don't even know how to make a first offer (ask Chipper dude is always asking you to offer first) Not everyone knows how to leverage their assets (that other people want/feel they need such as getting their pick back) to get a great deal. Not anyone can learn how FBB works, how the letter grades are made up and what makes for a good team. Some people (remember Mikey?) refuse to lose a deal even when they are in the HC, some GM's are stubborn. It takes a lot of qualities to be a good GM IMO.
You have to be relatively competent in order to become a good GM (imo) and you have to be competitive. If you don't WANT (or care about winning) to win then chances are you probably won't. There were too many guys in NDSL who couldn't give 2 shits about their team and that is why it became so boring.
Caring enough will not make you a good GM.

It kinda sucks that out of the whole league youd recommend like 3 guys, lol. That is because traves is a hater. Traves never had an elite team until like season 15 or 16 and then he won a couple ships, up until then he was average. guys like the Hawks GM had good teams year in and year out and went to the finals like 6 times or w/e. There were gm's that had there moments but there were def more then 3 guys that were good there, you shouldn't ask steve that cuz he's a hater. |

I never had an elite team? That is a joke I hope, I had the 2nd most finals appearances in the league my team just choked, I was first in all time wins and I probably simmed maybe 3 seasons out of 20. I also held the single season for wins twice, once it was broken by Lee then I reclaimed it. My team never started winning anything important until I stopped giving a shit which is sort of ironic I guess.
Celtics3420 you know never lasts in a league besides NDSL, I name dropped XyK, I recommended you then you got penetrated by DBW in less than 24 hours which is pathetic. Also I said Lee would be okay here but he was kinda inactive.
Kobe, DBW and Myself are probably the only guys off the top of my head that would be good enough to last in another league and that would actually stay interested/not quit. Just because there were more than 3 guys who were good there doesn't mean that there was more than that who would last. NDSL has plenty of good GM's but most of which don't enjoy leagues outside what they are used to.

Didn't he win the ship in the first season and never won it again? he went 19 seasons w/o a ship. And the last 5 seasons or he was pretty irrelevant. And the DBW shit doesn't bother me, coming from his personal wipping boy. And it is easy to run shit traves when you have the file and make all the drafts.....come on b you drated Brandon Jennings #1 or w/e......Jennings at #1 and he explodes. Dont tell me you didn't know something. Lets not forget that NDSL downfall pretty much came from everyone calling you out on wanting to change rules because you had some key free agents coming up. Just saying. |

NDSL died because I suggested a rule change that I said could occur a season after my guys were FA's?
Lol, I don't mind the asterisk beside my titles because I did have an advantage in making the files, but at the same time I never simmed TC and I never controlled who got picked before me and I also never simmed anything important like playoffs, and I probably simmed like 3 seasons total over the course of NDSL Dyno did the bulk of the simming. I knew people would bitch but at the same time I knew me making the files was best for the league, I left it to you guys to trust that I would not abuse my powers (which I didn't), I made Jennings to be the best prospect far before I was the #1 pick. Making the files doesn't mean I can foresee the future such as TC's lol. Remember Shaq busting on my team in V2? Also NDSL faltered once I stopped simming and helping in that matter, kind of ironic compared to what you are saying.
The fact is I am confident in my abilities, and I know I am better than you and the only guy from there better than me is DBW. I don't see how I was his whipping boy I respected his opinion and his abilities but that is about it, he pissed me off almost as much as Cheato did. Frankly I didn't really like anyone from NDSL, I am no one's whipping boy because these people on the internet are not my friends lol.
Excuse my ranting but I am not going to go back and read this because I am trying to watch TV.

Just saying. Compared to you winning it how many times? My team won around 50 games all throughout NDSL. Made it to the WCF at least 7 times, but ran into teams that were unstoppable and went on to win the title. Don't even think your team was in the top 15 for wins. Never been in any other league with you, so idk if you are good or not, but you haven't been any good in NDSL. All you did was blame your failures on the simmers. I guess you are mad you aren't mentioned as a good GM or something? Well you didn't really prove you should have been... |

LoL @ Nana, After he lost Kobe, whome he had from the beginning, and he never really put much talent around Kobe he did nothing. He made the playoffs I think once after losing Kobe. And Lee is the same. Monster built that team and Lee drafted Granger and that is all she wrote. I def would consider you up there as one of the best but not Lee and Nana. |

Nana still won 4 titles lol...How is he not a top GM? He just stopped caring after he lost Kobe, which we kind of forced him to do lol. And I am with you on lee, I always thought he never did much, but he did win 70 multiple times and won 2 ships, and made a few smart moves, never any bad moves.
