How in this crazy world which we live in would about 7 or 8 BBS gms only not survive in NBN? What the hell are you talking about? This is not american gladiators, you make no fucking sense in any logic through out this thread. For instance, if you can "survive" in NBN, I am pretty sure that Mark, Aaron, Myself, Pig, Hernando, Scott, Galo, even martinez survive in NBN. (If i forgot anyone, my bad). It does not make sense to me that you are saying all these bbs gms are horrible gms. Really? No offense to you Dan or any of those GMs, but I don't think so. (btw I menioned Galo and Hernando as probablies). I can't even survive there. That is 7 BBS Championships between those 8 gm's. |

Im so sick of peoples fascination with "tanking". Guess what, just because you dont like it doesnt mean it isnt a valid way to win long term. We have a rule called The Contract year" and its sole purpose is to eliminate Gms that cant win. Im sick of the bickering over how people go about putting a good team together.
I can understand the frustration if a team plays a crap DC and losses with talent.
But if a team trades away everyone, and just sucks, then I have no problem with it.

I can udnerstand you saying, hey, I think its the wron way to go about it. But it isnt cheating, and it isnt circumventing rules, so whats the problem? This is the kinda stuff where it seems like it could just be let go. It isnt a personal thing, its just a difference of opinions.

I think tanking is when you continually lose when you could win more. Whether that be from making bad DC's or not going after free agents that could help your team when you have cap.
If your team sucks and you lose. Then thats where you are at and you are rebuilding. If a team decides to trade away its players for picks you might say he is tanking but I think the GM is choosing that he wants to rebuild.
I do think there is a difference from rebuilding and tanking and those would be my understandings of the difference between the two.

Ok, so based on your logic anyone whose in the lotto is tanking? So i guess everyone in the league tanks. Please solidify your argument with better points. I was supposed to land the 5th pick. My team was not horrible. I got lucky.. Ok? That's part of the game. Check my teams in bbs 1 and 2 all built through trades. So again work on getting actual facts then pullin shit out your ass. I didnt draft kobe, parker, darko, Curry, or ricky davis. But your right i only built one of the greatest teams ever by just drafting guys. It's a fact that it's easier to win in the beggining i just feel it's more rewarding to win later on. It's my opinion. I can't have my own opinion? That bet only applied if you and Martinez were in it. I mean you can read right? I like this bet better. You down or not? You know whats laughable? When you dont have your own pick and you let someone else land a top pick. Your a top gm, champ. A top pick? Hardly. I won 36 games in a stacked conference with my 2nd best player injured the whole season. It's funny that you ask if I can read...look at the bold. You write well. Anyway, I don't really feel like addressing anything you said because it's all bullshit. Did you tank at the beginning of the last BBS? Did you even have your own pick this season? I've been all for putting money down for a long time that would be awesome and a great way to give back to spence. I had everything down to a science from player incentives like all stars and dunk champs etc. That would also make free agency a hell of a lot more fun. |
