And my favourite player is Wayne Rooney. I honestly think the way he plays football is how football should be played, and that's how English football should be. He has the effort, the joy for the game, the passion, and he has the skills too. But if he loses the ball he doesn't complain about it like Ronaldo does, he works he ass off to go get the damn ball back. When Rooney goes down, he gets right back up, but when Ronaldo goes down, he stays down. Meh, I'm just getting picky now about Ronaldo LOL. Really? I agree with Cristiano Ronaldo and most any other Portguese player they are ALL floppers. The only 2 Portuguese players I really like are Pepe on Real Madrid and Miguel on Valencia, they play for the Portuguese national team but not Portuguese-born haha. Everytime I've seen Rooney play though I've seen him get a card for complaining to the ref about every single call, so I don't know if he's matured since the last time I've saw him, but everytime I saw him play he was bitching and complaining or getting into a fight with somebody. That's true about what you say, however, he doesn't complain until AFTER he's tried to go get the ball back. If he loses the ball, he'll go after it like a man possessed and he'll either get it back or break your leg, so if you have his ball you better get rid of it fast lol. I dunno, I see that as passion I also get the impression that Rooney actually wants to play the game for what it is, rather than the money etc. I think he'd be happy playing for much much less than he'd getting paid, whereas people like Ronaldo wouldn't play unless he's getting top money. Besides, footballers get paid way too much. When you can earn over £100,000 a week for kicking a football, that's waaaaaaaaay too much.

I'm not a Rooney fan, don't really like the way he plays.
And even with what you've said Chris, I still believe Spanish football is boring. This season (in La Liga) has been one of the worst yet IMO.

AO PAULO, Brazil (AP)—Soccer star Ronaldo was questioned by police early Monday after a run-in with Brazilian transvestites in a Rio de Janeiro motel.
Ronaldo accused one of the transvestites of trying to extort him, police inspector Carlos Augusto Nogueira said Monday night.
Nogueira said the altercation began when Ronaldo found out he was dealing with transvestites instead of women. The inspector said Ronaldo admitted he knew they were prostitutes when they met earlier Sunday night, but did not realize they were transvestites until they got to the motel.
“He admitted to everything, he wanted to have fun,” Nogueira said. “But he committed no crime at all, it was immoral at best.”
Prostitution is not illegal in Brazil.
The AC Milan striker told police he offered to pay the transvestites anyway, but before he left one of them allegedly asked for $30,000 to hide the story from the media.
Nogueira said he believed Ronaldo’s version because the transvestite decided to leave the police station even before being fully questioned by authorities.
The transvestite also accused Ronaldo of asking him to buy drugs.
In a statement to TV Globo, Ronaldo reiterated he was a victim of extortion and denied he has ever used drugs.
Ronaldo and the transvestites were only questioned by police and voluntarily went to the police station.
Ronaldo is in Rio de Janeiro recovering from surgery on his left knee. He said Sunday he could be back in action in six months if his recovery continues to go as planned.
Ronaldo has won two World Cups with Brazil, including the 2002 title in which he scored eight goals, including two in the final against Germany.
A message to Ronaldo’s spokesman was not immediately answered Monday.

What a match tonight. Chelsea deserved to win I guess, although at the end when Babel scored I thought Liverpool were going to do what they've done in the past and pip them to it, but it was not to be. Ah well, bring on the scum!

I had the same goalie on my club team my entire life because he was the only one in the area our age. He was terrible so PKs were something we never wanted to get into haha

I just think that 120 minutes of playing your ass off shouldn't come down to a series of 5 PK's. To me it is anticlimactic and takes away from the game.

On a serious note though, I can see Madrid taking La Liga again next year, but that's because there's no competition. Barca are going to be as shit as they were this year and won't mount a good run imo. They're a mess.
