After most of you had done these last season, what kind of suggestions do you have for them? Right now, they're very basic with what goes along with the game. However, there may be a few extra additions that could make for some more interest, such as:
-GM of the year -Coach of the year -Most improved player
On top of this, let me know if there are any improvements any of you felt could be made in the entire process itself. It went over pretty well and has always been good in the last BBS, but I know we have some newer GMs and I'd like to hear everyone's opinion.

I like the idea of adding some new awards. I feel Coach of the year and Gm of the year are the same thing, I mean if you are giving someone the coach of the year they did great with their dcs and such. But we should just put it all together as one, GM of the year I think might be better. But Most improved should be added too, that would be cool.

I doubt I'd do a most improved team. It seems like it's something where the votes may be spread out a lot.

most improved team is almost like gm of the year in some cases. If you do it in the regular season that is.

the less work the better, i know. =P Definitely not a matter of less work because if it's only a 1-team, it's just a matter of me looking through an entire row on Excel and finding who was listed the most times. I just see how 6th man of the year is usually spread out so far because there's no real way to tell about it. And I feel like if we asked guys to vote for most improved at each position, it would be very similar.

and we don't have to do Most Improved Team by position
if the Most Improved Players are 5 PGs... then so be it.

and perhaps to minimize votes being spread around so much.. we can maybe have 2 or 3 people narrow down a list and lets say for all 1st team-2nd Team-3rd team you have to choose between these 20 players, 6th man between these players, etc etc.
I don't know just a thought.

Most likely to perform fellatio on a Goat.
Most likely to be butt raped in prison.
Most likely to become a gay stripper.
Most likely to die in a freak spaceship accident.
Most likely to have sex with Henry Earl
Most likely to have a beer with Spence, only to realize he is a computer.

I think Coach of the Year and GM of the year are very different.
GM- involves trading, free agent signings
Coach- involves switching dcs, adjusting to injuries, getting more out of his team than what they're worth

Dave's explanation of GM of the year and Coach of the year was what I was initially thinking about. I would really like to see at least a GM of the year added into the awards if nothing else.

GMOTY candidate here - went from 2nd worst in the league to best in the West. Come on now.
I was in England a few summers ago and actually had plans to meet up with Will for a beer, but it never materialized.
BTW - nova made me laugh in this thread, which is a first.

GM of the year is the same thing as coach of the year for sim leagues, maybe not in real life but here it is. So its not really necessary to have two different awards when they go to the same person for the same thing, improving your team from the shitty one last year or year before.

Guys like myself, Tiger, Ducky, Aar, and A2J could all be considered for coach of the year for our different styles of play, moving guys out of position and them thriving in it. Where as guys like Skillz, Habes, A2J, Outlawz could all be considered GM of the year for their many off and in season moves. You can apply any award to a sim league like Dumbass of the year. For keeping a player you traded away weeks ago in your DC or thinking Lee Nailon's name was really Neilson.

Ducky goes like undefeated with a comp DC and struggles with his own DC, and you say coach of the year.
