Atlantic... 4 legit title contenders (maybe the Nets are on the fringe), and Philly and Washington are solid hopefuls for the playoffs

I think the Atlantic has the four best teams in the league if the Heat get on track, but I don't know.

I don't even think this is remotely close, the atlantic is on another level. There are 4 legit title contenders (Nets, Heat, Knicks, Magic) and a nice up and coming team in the 76ers if they can figure out how to build around their two stars.

I see the Atlantic as 4 deep with a large drop off. Midwest has Denver, Houston, Minnesota, San Antonio, and Dallas.

I think this is great debate because you could make a solid case for either. I just threw in the central and pacific to be nice hahaha

I see the Atlantic as 4 deep with a large drop off. Midwest has Denver, Houston, Minnesota, San Antonio, and Dallas. But I mean no division is going to have every team above .500. The Atlantic has 4 teams that could easily win the title, can you honestly say that about even 2 teams in the midwest?

I dunno, it's plain to me that only Dallas and Denver are as good as the top four in the Atlantic, and they might not be.

Dallas is a sick young team, but they are not title contenders yet. I think they will be in a year or two depending on how fast their stars develop, and when they do it will be a dynamite team.

I went with the Atlantic. They got the top-shelf teams in the league for the most part and that puts them over the Midwest although the Midwest may be a bit deeper.

And Denver's not either, Francis at SF?? I don't think that would work throughout the playoffs, and they have a pretty big hole at C.

Atlantic is pretty dominate, midwest is not there yet, talent wise. I think the Atlantic is far better actually, not really a debate.

The Atlantic has 4 teams that could easily win the title, can you honestly say that about even 2 teams in the midwest? I could say 5 teams in the midwest could win the title. 1. Denver nastiest defensive backcourt in the league force TO's gallore. Big time scorers in AI and JO 2. Houston----Dwight, Z, Ben Wallace, Bosh wow 3. Minny- Kandi, Toine, Mcdyess, LJ, West.....the beefiest team in bbs perhaps due to all the munchies 4. San antonio- gasol, odom, melo, bibby 5. Dallas- Lebron

I don't see anyone in the Midwest except Dallas being a title contender to be quite honest, so I had to vote for the Atlantic.

If you didn't win it last year I would say the same thing, but since you did I wouldn't count you out.

I went with the Atlantic....I think New York and Orlando are the best 2 in that division with Miami and New Jersey not far behind.

I won't root against Kobe when it comes to the playoffs but I don't think you are a title contender. Top to bottom I think midwest is the best. I think everyone discounts Minny, San Antonio, and Houston a lot......they are good. I also think if Marty got it together he'd be a decent team and Jazz are still decent. I'd take them over the Wiz and Celtics.
I just wanted to get this going now so we can look back at the end of the season and see.

You can't say "top to bottom" because you have to account for the superiority of certain teams. Who are the top two teams in the midwest? I don't even know. But, they don't come close, combined, to the Knicks and Magic combined. If the top 4 teams in the Atlantic are superior than the top 4 teams in the midwest (collectively), then you cannot disregard that and use "top to bottom" as an argument.

I agree with Mark, top to bottom doesn't necessarily mean it's the best division. And I still think the Atlantic would definitely win that argument too because their 4 teams > the Midwest's top 5

I think Denver, Minny, Houston, and myself could all take the Knicks or Magic.

With maybe the exception of Dallas (maybe), they'd all be huge underdogs.
