Here it's: 93-100=A 90-92=A- 87-89=B+ 84-86=B 80-83=B- other school I was going to attend was like this WVU is straight 100-90 89-80 79-70 69-60 59-0 Some professors give + or - on their grades but it has no affect on gpa

Here it's: 93-100=A 90-92=A- 87-89=B+ 84-86=B 80-83=B- Dayton's like this for the most part. However, I had one teacher where an 85 was a C+. It was an awesome class, but it sucked that I got an 85 and got a C+ lol. Once I've gotten into engineering classes though, a lot of our harder classes are based on curves. I've gotten an 88 on an exam before and had the highest grade so like an 85 and up was an A. Then a 70-85 was a B and so on.

Some professors have different grading scale here as well. My Intro to Physics professors scale was
100-88 A 85-72 B 70-50 C 45-20 D
Depending on if you had a high or low % of a letter grade he would give a + or -.
Depending on the class averages he could reduce the curve as well. May look like a very easy class but it wasn't. We had a test every Friday morning that would be detailed on the new chapter covered every week.
No many professors do not use that scale at WVU.

yeah I heard alot of people get curves in Engineering classes...
I know a few at Rutgers and Penn State that's like that.

Some of my engineering classes have been curved. Normally depends on if the department is in control of the class or not.

A+ = 90-100 = 12.0 A = 86-89 = 11.0 A- = 80-85 = 10.0
And so on.
It's weird, we get graded in numbers, then they turn those into letters, then turn them back into more general numbers. The reason is so they can give out less scholarships - you need a 10.0 to maintain an entry level scholarship. But say you get grades of 79, 94, 83, 79 and 76 ... that's still a 9.8, not good enough, despite the high percentages.
Fuck school's man, they're bullshit.

This is a bit random, but do you happen to know Rob Goldsberry? He plays basketball at Canisius and he's from my area.
