3-5 today. Unbelievable. Lost by 6,3,1,4 in 4 of the losses. Just cannot win close games right now.
All is not lost yet, definitely still in the running for a playoff spot if we figure out what needs to change. We did manage to win a close one over Houston today.
Manu had TWO triple doubles today, vs. Orlando and New Jersey. Turnovers were mixed today, they were down a bit though, hopefully a result of the slower tempo.
Seems that in our narrow defeats, one guy just has an AWFUl shooting game. Mashburn shot 3-18 vs. MIN (1 point loss), Manu 4-21 vs. GSW (4 point loss, Webber 4-17 vs. ORL (6 point loss)......Not sure what can really be done about that, just the way it goes in sims sometimes I guess.
We'll keep tinkering.

4-1 this sim with a loss to Portland. Had wins over Phoenix, LA Lakers, Utah, and Philadelphia. Our inside scoring and rebounding continue to be our strengths. We are not turning the ball over much which killed us at the end of last season. We are 2nd in the league in turnovers at only 11.8 per game. Hopefully our defense can keep up this performance, and we can make some noise.

the only thing my team is consistent with is they're inconsistent. I need to tweak a few things.

Also free throw shooting kills my team....we get to the line a lot and miss a whole lot. However its been a glorious weekend filled with so many great things.

5-1, bringing us to 22-8 and comfortably on top of the West.
You know, back when we were arguing I'd have to say I agree with James on one point - my teams have the tendency to be pretty ugly. Outside of Marbury, do I have a single player with pretty ratings? Not really - West, Mason and Toine are mediocre, Brown is about the same as Kelvin Cato, neither Johnson or Smith can play a lick of defense. But the thing is, ratings don't really mean fuck all. It's all about production. Find the tactics that work for your key players, surround those key players with guys who fit the tactics. Simple. Look.
Desmond Mason: 19.7 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.6 SPG, 1.6 TOPG, 47.6 FG%
He's the best example because I've heard people talk shit about his game for a while now. I said it in the thread after I traded for him, he.s 17, 6 and 3 with low TOs and great percentages with the right system.
Tactics baby. I loves 'em.
