Saw on a Spain sports newspaper Odom for Artest.
I don't know. I like both players a lot. So I'm 50/50 with this.

Dont know why LA would do that. Odom has turned into a nice player who seems to have matured vs Artest who is a ticking time bomb. Unless LA got more I dont know why they'd do that deal.

I disagree. Odom was nowhere to be found in the Finals when the Lakers needed him. He would be on and then off. that's always been his rep. he will never be an elite player but just a nice player that can do everything but not do one thing particularly well. he's certainly not a consistent scorer or a playmaker despite what many say. Pretty much I think he's been overrated his whole career and even playing with Kobe didnt make him much better.
Artest on the other hand should be a good fit that is if his attitude doesnt flare up again and starts problems with Kobe. He's a top lock down defender in the league which is exactly what the Lakers need to change their philosophy on defense. He's a decent enough scorer and should inspire the rest of the team to play some D too.

They did it for some defense. Great deal if it is true for LA. Artest would be a good addition.

I think he's one of the more underrated players in the NBA.

Lakers needed to get tougher. If they do get Artest its a great move. I wanted the Warriors to make a move for him to be there PF.

LO's been through alot and has grown as a player but it's time for LA to move on from him. Not sure if Sac-Town's going to accept the offer (RealGM says LA offered it) but if they pull it off, great trade for LA.

Besides shutting down the opposing team's best player, he brings a tenacity on the defensive end which usually rubs off on the rest of the team. Every team he's gone to, they've become much better defensively which makes him more of an asset than Odom.

LA's bench sucked along with their interior defense. Artest does'nt always come to play either. And unlike Odom he will drag other guys and the team down with him when he gets in those funks. Unless it was a bargain offer I would'nt have Artest on my team and even then it has to be with language in th contract voiding it if he screws up. I think that's about the only way to keep him in check.
