Welcome ladies and gents to a new edition of the Hot Seat today we are joined by bbs outcast YB also currently the assistant GM to the Sixers
Let's start off with the Sixers. How do you feel about maniac possibly quitting? If you were to get the team what would you do with the team?
1. I have grown to like Maniac. He is an interesting and cool guy. We've reconciled our differences and it seems like its been working good with me and him. For him possibly quitting, I am extatic to possibly get an opportunity in the league that I have long desired for a season now but it is honestly sad to see Maniac leave. I still don't think he'd be leaving permenantly and would always linger the forums so I'm not afraid that I'd never get to talk to him. Still, I am not going to lie, I would love to get an opportunity in the league and a team as talented as the 76ers would be ideal. If I were to get the team I would definitely be a conservative GM. I don't like to trade just to trade like some GMs in the league, I did it a little bit in Minnesota because the situation was so bad but don't expect me to do it again if I were to get a team like the 6ers. I like to make small trades to improve the bench but don't like to constantly be making big moves and changing the direction of my team all the time. So I'd definitely not trade Blair/Wall and probably not even Derozan unless a situation came where I could add a smaller piece and acquire a top 8 player in the league.
You had a very rough start with guys in this league do you think that's what lead to possibly rush moves or act irrational?
2. I did have a rough time in the beginning of this league, I felt that it was extremely tough to fit in like I have stated previously. None of my moves were really rushed or irrational to me. I do probably think that I should have taken back that trade where I traded the bad contracts of Marbury + Thomas and gave up my 1st round pick but really that trade hasn't worked out that bad. Thomas is still a lingering bad contract and Marbury just retired last season. I think I left Minnesota in a tremendous situation it was just sad that the Bulls or the Nuggets weren't in any Hard Cap struggles so the new Minnesota GM, Ashes, could not realistically sign them. Minnesota should again have quite a bit of cap next season and another stud young player. I would have done exactly what they have done except that Brook Lopez trade. I would have resigned Brook for a decent contract as I think he could be a servicable 4 or 5 in this league.
Do you think being fired ultimately has helped you?
3. Being fired definitely has opened up time for my self. But really, it has been difficult, I am not going to lie. After you spend so much time theorycrafting and imputting statistics into calculators based on your team, you really do get emotionally attatched to the league and the Timberwolves. I just hope I can get a relatively easy way back into the league so I can show how good of a GM I am and build a dynasty of my own. I definitely would appreciate a chance and understand that I myself have to be more reasonable if I were to receive a team.
Who are 5 guys you just find annoying?
5 Guys I find annoying are Marty, Ducky, Cjmjones, Ebener, and the new fucking Memphis GM. Marty because I just think he could be considered legally retarded in a quarter of the nations in the world. Ducky because he took my resigning from the UOSL way to harsh and banned me from the league and constantly make irrational comments towards me through out the time I post, Cjmjones because he took the thing with his girlfriend harshly and I don't think I can fault him for that but it is just getting annoying and I wish he would be able to move on, Ebener because recently has taken a distaste of me in this league and has joined the "bash on YB" crew even though I have yet to say anything bad about him, and the new Memphis GM because he IS legally retarded and he can't spell words correctly and makes rediculous trade offers but I kind of feel him because I know how it felt to be in a new league and have to adjust. I just suggest jb2jfk or whatever to take it easy and listen to the smarter GMs in this league to understand value before you get raped and send off all of your future firsts to a team which will ruin the league in general.
Who are 3 guys you would like to learn more from?
Question 5. The 3 guys I would like to learn more from are Ajh, play, and if I have to say a third it would have to be Galo. I think Ajh is a wise guy but I just never have had a chance to talk to him much, play always seems to be a good GM in any league I see him, and Galo just because I don't know him too well and he posts quite a bit on the forums. I already know the Outlaw method of winning I think, and If I were to get a team I would definitely pursue that method.
Do you think friends trading with friends has hurt the league? Or do you think people complaining is just bs and just coincidental?
I think it is easier to trade with your friends than someone else. It just is. So whether it is done purposefully or intentionally is a question that only the friends can answer. I think Derwin got a decent amount in return for the Bynum trade but I still don't understand why he had to trade him. I also think that the league has to take revoking trades more seriously and there really should be a trade committe of some sort consisted of unanimous GMs who are randomly picked every trade that has an even slight picture of rape in it. Or maybe the GMs on the waiting list can be on the board so they can understand how the league trades work and with the amount of trades that are made in this league, it would be a job in its own sense. Really, I don't care but I do think that Derwin will not be able to meet the Contract Year requirements. He is a bad GM in my eyes. I kind of do like him as a person though.
Who do you think will be champions?
I think the Nets will win the championship, they just have too much tallent. The 76ers imo are a trade away from contending. Same with the Knicks and the Bulls (If they keep their current team).
If you could improve one thing about bbs what would it be?
I would take away owed picks and not let GMs trade away picks futhur than their next contract year because most GMs will just trade all of their future picks just to build a credible team and if they are kicked out of the league then the next GM has to face a mess. I can see this in Boston. I can also see this in Memphis but that was because Marty made a mistake in going over the cap. I also would hope that BBs understand that I am a very sarcastic person and if I make posts to just laugh it off as I am not intending any seriousness. I make random posts to create activity sometimes but it seems that everyone is in attack mode when I make one. I don't really care though, I have learned to move on.
If you can fire one person so you can get a spot who would it be?
I would fire Ashes. I know this sounds like I want to fuck the Timberwolves organization but I still feel like I have some unfinnished business with the Timberwolves and how I could have improved them. Nothing against Ashes, I think he has done a fine job GMing the Timberwolves, I do wish that he was a bit more active though. If I wanted to take a team just for talent purposes, I would definitely take over the Knicks but I think it would be boring to just be handed 2 of the greatest players in the league and just dominate from now on.
You are now off the hot seat. Thanks for your time, YB.
