I got this idea from Jay in UOSL, to look at draft classes and see who became studs and who are duds.
1. Ricky Rubio PG 24 6'3'' 185 C+ B+ A+ A C B
This guy has turned into as much of a stud player as one could be. Leading the young core of the Heat, he is averaging 16ppg, 10.6apg, and 2.4ppg on 45% shooting. The number 1 pick has certainly been playing like it.
2. Tyreke Evans SG 25 6'5'' 217 B B+ A- B C C
The second overall pick has been somewhat of a disappointment in some GM's eyes. While he hasn't been a complete bust, he hasn't seemed to perform to the caliber of an all-star, which he was hyped to be. Whether it was because he was not a true option in Toronto or not, we'll see if his new stint in San Antonio brings out more from him.
3. Delvon Roe SG 25 6'7'' 223 B B C A- C+ B
Roe has become one of the very talented youth core in Utah, along with Ty Walker, Brandon Knight, and others. Part of the Gilbert Arenas trade which came from the now famous Derrick Rose trade, he has certainly proved his worth, putting up an incredible 21ppg, 8rpg, 1.6spg and 2.6bpg as a SF! This kid is the real deal.
5. Greg Monroe C 25 6'10'' 240 B- C- C+ B+ B- B
The first true bust of the 2010 draft, he has never played to his ratings or his potential. Highly regarded, due to the rarity of quality big men in BBS, he was taken by Cleveland and never put up a quality season. Presently, he serves as a backup to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
6. Devin Ebanks SG 25 6'8'' 205 C+ B- C B C+ C
Complete bust. As much as Monroe was a bust, he still maintains B potential, along with B+ defense, allowing him to be a decent backup. Ebanks never progressed and only maintains being on a team because of Memphis's inability to sign players due to hard cap restrictions.
7. Jrue Holiday PG 25 6'4'' 208 B- B A B+ C C
Holiday has been a decent player in BBS. Probably considered the Gus Frerotte of BBS, he has been on more rosters than he has years in the league. One of the biggest quips about him was his inability to lower his turnovers. Currently he is the starting SG on the Cavaliers.
8. Earl Clark SF 27 6'9'' 220 B- C+ B- A- C C
Currently serves as a backup for the Trail Blazers. His only saving grace is ability to play quality defense. Had a pretty good season last year with the Cavaliers, but that team sucked so it wasn't that big of a deal.
9. Jordan Hill PF 27 6'9'' 223 B C C- A- B D
He has had a somewhat quiet career, mainly starting for the (then atrocious) Boston Celtics. Having only 1 year of 10+ppg, can be considered an underperformer. He is currently on the Sacramento Kings, the worst team in the league.
10. Cole Aldrich C 26 6'11'' 254 C+ C C- B+ B C
Has always played a backup role in the Minnesota Timberwolves organization. Former GM YB always saw something in this guy. I guess we now know why he is the former GM. Well, that and his douchebaggery.
11. B.J. Mullens C 26 7'0'' 263 C+ C- D+ B+ B+ C
Still playing on the Wizards, but when you're backing up Tyler Hansbrough, you're doomed to never amount to much.
12. Bud Mackey ?
I've never even heard of this guy. He must have been really terrible.
13. Samardo Samuels SF 25 6'8'' 245 B+ C C- B- B- D
Originally drafted by the Cavaliers for his scoring prowess, he never really developed in any other aspects of his game. Scored fairly well in Boston, now serves as a free agent pickup to provide bench scoring in Portland.
14. Scotty Hopson ?
Currently "retired" from the league. If I recall correctly, he ran through his potential faster than Jack the Ripper ran through hookers.
15. DeJuan Blair PF 26 6'7'' 268 A- C- C- A A B
Obviously the biggest steal of the draft. He has become one of the best players in the league, and easily the best player to come out of this class. He has subsequently exploded in numerous TCs and received a +10 in Midseason Progression. 47% shooting, 24 ppg, 12 rpg, 2 steals and 3 blocks a game, this guy has it all.
16. Terrence Williams ?
Done in BBS.
17. Malcolm Lee ?
Gone. Backup in the league before that.
19. Damion James ?
This is becoming a common occurrence. No longer in the league.
20. Herb Pope C 27 6'8'' 233 B+ C- C B B+ C
Can be considered a boom in the draft, he has done a pretty solid job. This has been the first true year he has been great. In Memphis, he is currently averaging 18/10. His defense has never been his strong suit however, and what has most likely been his downfall.
21. Kyle Singler PG 27 6'9'' 210 C+ A- B C C D
His outside shooting has really been his bright spot. Originally a SF, his handles began to slowly increase, and he is a backup to Monta Ellis for the Milwaukee Bucks.
22. Tyler Smith SF 6'7'' 215 28 C+ B C B- C+ D
Currently on the Free Agency list. He could be serviceable to a team in the future, but not right now.
23. Omri Casspi ?
No longer in BBS.
24. Derrick Caracter PF 27 6'9'' 268 B C+ C C- C C
Never really amounted to much in BBS. Had one good year his sophomore season with the Warriors.
25. Nando De Colo ?
Out of the league.
26. Ekpe Udoh C 28 6'10'' 240 C C D+ B+ B- B
The Knicks got lucky finding some backups defenders. One of them is Udoh. Luckily they found some new serviceable replacements in Guzman and Catalano.
27. Connor Atchley C 30 6'10'' 226 C+ B- C B C+ D
28. Manny Harris ?
No longer here.
29. Vernon Macklin PF 28 6'9'' 227 C D+ C A- B C
Serves as mainly a backup defender for the Knicks, always has.
Notable 2nd Rounders:
Brian Zoubek - known mainly for still being in the league as a backup, and that entertaining signature by Andrew
Jarvis Varnado - a surprise coming out of the 2nd round, he is doing a good job on the league leading Indiana Pacers.
