lumley is definitely interested in joining.
C.C. get him in here.
I just don't want someone who loses out in their CY to get another team... like I said, I'd rather have YB than CF get another team.

you really want to give a team to someone who even admitted to "not caring" when he couldn't get a deal in his favor? Really? I understand there isn't much out there but I'd try my hardest to find a replacement.
I told Lums to register I don't know if he has yet

and it's nothing against CF truly... it doesn't matter if it was me who failed in my CY, if you fail you fail and shouldn't be given another shot until after being on the wait list.

BOS and NO are in similar states as teams really so it'd be like CF is getting his same team back. Wack.

29 wins in a CY is horrible. If he actually said that he didn't care anymore because he couldn't find a deal, that's lame. CF is well liked but does he really deserve another chance based on his performance in NO?

It is really pathetic that Andrew is getting the 4th overall pick!? It is Captains contract year and he is giving Andrew the 4th projected pick right now? Wow i mean what the fuck? i certainly didnt trade that pick to andrew.......but i make no excuses for getting my nads kicked in by the contract year. i thought rondo/diogu/ lee would be enough to get us 4 more wins than last year's horrible team. But with the HC penalty and my CY i couldn't land to many offers i was actually interested in. And i had no leverage to counter with something more fair. everyone knows you are deperate in the contract year so they wont move a budge with their offers. oh well...... like i said no excuses. Maybe it's just me, but I hated that statement he made.... to me it seems like he didn't do a deal because he wasn't getting a clear-cut advantage in any deal, but when your back is up against the wall sometimes you need to take what you can get. I'm sure 90% of his deals involved his future picks, but I'm sure he was getting a nice return on Vets in any deal involving his picks... I mean I even tried but his answer was pretty much "Oh I suck and those picks are going to be good"

Forget Captain. You can defend a guy for winning, say, 36 in his Contract Year if he's really active, but 29? After the trade block calling Griffin unavailable? Nah, he doesn't deserve to stay, especially when there are active guys on the waiting list. WHO CARES if the Braves GM isn't experienced? He's going to be active, and if he gets ripped off in a deal, sorry, but that's A LOT better than some guy who sits on his team in the CY and wins 29 fucking games. You think Captain's a better option than a new guy? Why? Chris won't be able to win 29 games in his CY? If that's all you can muster in your CY and you show a fair bit of indifference, no, sorry, you don't deserve another team. No way!

Seriously, I will vouch for Chris the Braves' GM if he's active in the baseball league no reason why he shouldn't be active here and I'm sure me and everyone else will gladly help him with anything he needs help understand. Despite what people say, it does take a lot to be good in FBB but it doesn't take a long time to get the logistics of it and it's not like he has zero experience with sims in general.

And where is this indifference quote? I want to read it.

Spence doesn't like giving guys with no experience teams. I don't think it's a bad principle, but I think active guys that are eager to join should get consideration, especially compared to Captain. I like Captain, but 29 wins in your CY means you're out. Shouldn't be any gray area there at all. It's there to keep competitive GMs in the league as much as it's there to keep competitive teams. Andrew and Nanz had virtually no experience GMing before they came into BBS. They were both AGMs for a bit, but running a team is the only way to know if you can actually run a team. Most everyone can, and yeah, preferably a guy would have some time learning FBB, but no matter what, he'll learn FBB eventually. I think he deserves the team more than Captain does almost by default, and especially because he's a proven active+good GM in BBSBL, so I think Spence should just help him GM like he helped Nanz at first in order for Chris to learn FBB.

Spencer's arguement is going to be that CF is a nice guy(to some) and is active but then Spencer also stated that CF barely tweaked his DC at all his season. Now I can understand being to busy to properly look for trades or what not, but logging on for 5 mins to tweak a DC isn't that time consuming.

spencer should help chris out the first season if he hires him. That could work out. All trades go through spencer or something IDK.

I know I'm not a part of this league and I don't know Captain Fantasy, but I'm going to throw this out there...
When I first met Chris, I was working on BBSBL. He was interested, we had an opening, I let him in. With some guidance (not much), he made great deals and turned a rancid Braves team into a contender. And the team has stayed a contender. I don't know the whole situation, but Chris will be active, he won't be afraid to make deals (trust me, he makes moves just to make moves sometimes), he will learn the ropes, and he will field a competitive team. As the only guy who really knows Chris, I'll vouch for him.
