um pacman jones is by far worse. also chris henry has yet to actually be found guilty of anything more than a misdemeanor. damn what a terrible person he is! he was also homeless this past offseason and didnt have the money to support his g/f or kid. since then he has become a model citizen. i actually know him pretty well. i knew him before and after. he is not even close to the same person he was. and even then he didnt get arrested for anything near what multiple players in this league have been arrested for. i was not a fan of the things he did as i havent been arrested in 23.5 years. its really not hard to go through life and not get arrested. he is a completely different person now. he goes to work comes home and spends the rest of the day with his family. he doesnt go to bars or strip clubs and he no longer hangs out with his friends from his WVU days. pacman is no longer in the NFL which is why I said that about Henry I hope he has cleaned up because he was a complete fucking idiot his entire time at WVU and with the Bengals for awhile. I don't see how he could have transformed into a model citizen but he could have easily improved by strides. pacman will be back imo. i dont think he should be allowed back but i bet he is allowed back. i know henry was an idiot at WVU. u know who his best friend was at WVU? Pacman lol. Henry hung out with bad crowds. His cousins and friends just used him for his money. As soon as he got suspended (lost those paychecks) and then got cut and had no income all of his friends ditched him. He didnt get any support or help from anyone he helped and he learned who his true friends were. Being homeless with a g/f and a kid will change you. It sure as hell changed him. The weirdest thing of the entire situation is that Chris Henrys best friend by far is Carson Palmer now. They are 2 totally different people with 2 completely opposite pasts. The one thing i will never understand is why pacman was allowed to come back so many times and why henry has been given so many chances and Thurman never got a 2nd chance. Honestly henrys charges havent been shit and most charges were dropped as they were he said/she said bullshit with 0 evidence even on the videos they had at the scenes. Thurman missed a drug test because he was down in Georgia taking care of his child who was sick while his g/f was out of town. I know a missed drug test = a failed drug test in the NFL. But he took that drug test the next day and passed. Then he failed another drug test because he was 30 minutes late for it and late = failed. The reason he was late is because he was in a meeting with Marvin Lewis. The Bengals filed on his behalf stating it was their fault but he got suspended the 4 games because of the 2 missed/failed tests. Then he gets a DUI and he has been banned from the NFL since. Jared Allen had like 2 DUIs within 2 months and got suspended a total of 2 games. 2 drug/alcohol violations = automatic mandatory 4 game suspension according to the NFL rules. Then i believe Allen got a 3rd dui and got suspended a couple more or not in trouble at all.

at least we know how allstar has an inside with the bengals now the ever reliable chris henry lmfao. i was originally in sports marketing and had some high quality professors that got me some sweet projects for school. I got to make long term contacts with the Bengals, Ravens, Reds and Bulls organizations. That was one of the nice things about Miami University. They have a lot of former coaches spread throughout NCAA and other sports. The Bengals were the only one I got to do in person. The other 3 were by phone which was disappointing. I would have liked to meet a few of the Ravens.

ESPN did a top-10 all-time Super Bowl play's list last night. Larry Fitz's long TD catch was #10. Harrison's INT return was #3. Tyree was #2. Santonio's TD catch was #1. That's pretty impressive. I think a strong case can be made that this was one of the best, if not the best, Super Bowl's ever. I know I was sick as hell at the end. and ESPN is a joke with these things... they usually put recent plays at #1 or high in the top 5. It was a great tip-toe play by Santonio Holmes, but that's a play that EVERY NFL WR should be making when you are that wide open. it was a great catch by holmes. but marvin harrison has made that kind of catch like a million times. also the 3 DBs had no clue wtf was going on as they were all way off of him and all they had to do was push him out. pathetic that 3 guys stood there and did nothing. id say it was DEFINITELY far more impressive play by harrison than holmes. i wouldnt put the holmes play or the fitzgerald play in my top 10.

It was definitely a sick game. What separated last year's game from this year's is that every series for the Pats you had to hold your breath on. The Giants weren't going to be able to score with the Pats and they had the best offense ever. It was non-stop anxiety that the Pats would just start marching down the field and the game would be over. The Steelers have an incredible defense but that aspect was lacking last night. It's not even a knock on the game, it's just not possible to replicate unless you have the best ever (offense or defense) playing. Brady hadn't been hit all year and the Giants were drilling him. If you don't remember that then you either A) aren't the football die hard it seems or B) weren't watching. Steelers not only have an incredible defense, statistically this season they rank as one of the best of all-time. they got to play the browns and palmerless bengals a total of 4 times this year. i hope to god their statistics are among the best ever. they also got to play the ravens twice which were far from good offensively. they are a great D but i dont consider this one up there for best ever.

That's what happens when you go for a players knees. That could cost someone a career.

I wonder how it feels to know the refs won for you. LOLZ I;m not even a cards fan, i just feel sorry for them because they didn't lose the game. It feels pretty good, especially know that you're absolutely wrong. Makes it feel even better, actually. You've contributed absolutely nothing to this thread other than sounding like a drunk 4-year old. The funny thing about this is that i have been a steelers fan for about 32 years so there you go. I just hope we can play better next year and not depend on the refs to win games But whateves it was a good season!

I'd say they did a pretty good job.

Great game, the last two superbowls have been sick. It's tough to compare the two, but the 4th quarter in the Steelers Cardinals game was just awesome.

the only arguement i've heard as to why last year's Superbowl was better than this year's was the "storyline."
If I wanted to watch something based off of the "story-line' I'd watch a soap opera or WWF.

The Steelers defense is not one of the best of all time. They struggled agaisnt a one trick pony team. Now granted that team does it well. But they throw the ball and that's it. They dont run worth a crap.
Last yrs rendition of the Pats and Giants beat Pittsburgh if they played this yr. This was just one of those yrs where no team really rised to the top. Pittsburgh took advantage of it and won. Congrats to them but to include them in any discussion of all time anything is ridiculous.
And that was a hold in the endzone, watch it from the snap. He does get bullrushed yea and gets his ass kicked. But on his way down he grabs the jersey of the DL and pulls him down too. Now he was slick about it, he let go once he felt him lose his balance to make it look like he didnt hold but he did no question.

Actually, to be fair no team from this FA era should be considered best of all time anything.
The lg has set it up now to where there's so much parity it sucks.

Actually, to be fair no team from this FA era should be considered best of all time anything. The lg has set it up now to where there's so much parity it sucks. This was the highest scoring season since 1965, yet the Steelers held all their opponents to 13ppg. The 1976 Steelers("The Steel Curtain") held opponents to 9.8ppg... so arguably isn't this year's Steelers team feat even more impressive? You Cowboys fans have the most oddball views of things... what parity? In a league of "parity" hoes does a team go 18-0? Explain that to me?

And in a league of parity how have 2 teams won 5 Super Bowls in this game? The system allows for teams like Arizona to rise through the rank.
MLB is a joke right now without a salary cap. 1 year/25 million dollar offers being the norm is insane. Manny might make as much this year as the entire Pirates roster.

Baseball just had the 35 million dollar Rays win the AL. It could use a cap but baseball's problems are so overblown.
