10. Maniac-Philadelphia 76ers
Now Maniac hasn't done a bad job as a GM in this league as he has been one of the more succesful GM's in BBS. So why does Maniac have to prove something? Maniac hasn't been able to take the step from good to great yet. He has had the pieces to make something very special and hasn't been able to created the magic, this is how he gets number 10 on Pig's list. Maniac has the ability to move his legacy in BBS from good to great but hasn't done superb in doing so. Until he does this he will always be on outside looking in of the prestigious group of immaculate GM's of BBS. Some might argue this but with the plethora of talent Maniac has had on his teams he should of have made some big noise. Only time will tell.
9. Who ever the New Orleans Hornets GM is.
Honestly this team has been one of the most pathetic franchises in the history of any sim league I have been apart off. Will New Orleans ever be a championship calibur team? Idle has a huge chip on his shoulder taking over this dismal ball club. New Orleans will always have the eyes of the rest of the league on them as they have been for most of BBS. The "cursed" franchise have had GM's come and go and need stability in order to be taken seriously in the near future.
8. Play- Los Vegas Rebels
Such a talented GM, but when have we ever talked about one of his teams being immaculate? Play slides under the radar a lot of the time but not today! He has built some quality teams, but when has he ever been in a legit threat in winning a championship? Play needs to take that next step in order to be a team that people can fear and most GM's see that the potential is there. Play has a really nice core right now but is more reluctant to move some of his pieces then other GM's. The quiet storm has to take some action and let every one know that he is coming to hammer their kittens in the near future.
7. Jah-Washington Wizards
Somewhat along the same lines as Play. Jah has had very solid teams and overall boasts a great W-L record, but when have we been scared to play Jah's teams? They have not been in a long time and his team has been stuck at mediocrity the last couple years. I am one of the staunch supporters of Jah being one of the elite GM's of this league if he focused on less leagues, maybe he will in the future? Jah has the tools in personnel and ability to move over the hump, but can we? Many GM's have echoed the same sentiments I have and we will just have to wait and see if Washington can be a championship caliber team in the future.
6. All-Star- San Antonio Spurs and Greg -Houston Rockets
Both these GM's fall under the same boat for me as they have both had pretty lack luster legacies so far in the new BBS. When they are good, they creep around mediocrity and when they are bad it is the same. The problem with this is the lack of planning around the team. It seems like their is a "just flow in the wind" type of mentality. However they are two completely different GM's in my mind. Greg likes to take risks while AllStar plays it safe. Both really haven't paid off in this edition of BBS however I like the upside that these two have. I think Greg has really grown as a GM, slower then most, but I think he is getting better with each day. AllStar can be dangerous, but he doesn't seem to be interested in all outlets to better enhance their team. Will other GM's fear these Texas teams. Who knows?
5. Dan- Portland Trail Blazers
Dan has won championships in the past in this BBS and has one of the more successful franchises in the BBS. However over the past several years recent moves and the state of his team has put doubts in his peers minds that he will never reach the promised land once again. Dan has a lot to prove to the rest of BBS that his championship run wasn't a fluke and that he is here to win it. I haven't made any deals with Dan in the last couple years so I really don't know where his mind is at, but it is very evident that people have their eyes on him.
4 and 3. The Puzzle Piece Crew
The Puzzle Piece crew consists of two GM's, Blue and Nova. They are called the puzzle piece crew because they treat the structure of their teams as a jigsaw puzzle, one they haven't really found the last couple pieces in order to put the puzzle together. It's hard to watch because you see these GM's work just as hard as any in order to try to find the pieces in order to work and when they think they have it, it doesn't work out in the end. I think these GM's worst flaw has to be frustration. We have seen it with Blue more then Nova and it pains to see it happen because you can see the effort involved. These GM's both have more talent then what has been showed over the years and if they can get the right chemistry and finish the puzzle they both can have something special.
2. Pig-Golden State Warriors
Any previous credibility due to past success is barely there. Previous strategies that worked don't work anymore. BBS is evolving and Pig has not caught on yet. People question his ability to get it done now and it is time to step up to plate and get with the new.
1. DJ-Toronto Raptors
What the hell happened. Wasn't he considered one of the best GM's of the last BBS. Hasn't he had the talent to do some magic in this BBS. Why has he fallen off the radar. Lack of passion? Lack of direction? People don't fear DJ's teams or his ability as a GM anymore. Maybe he needs a wake up call. If I am holding onto any credibility as a solid GM then DJ is a couple steps behind me. Far and away the number 1 GM has to prove that he is still solid.
