Strengths-Hal Blart was one of the most unstoppable post players in the country at Missouri this year. He has great feet, establishes his position well, and an electric arsenal of moves. He can knock down a midrange shot off his post-up game, and can back down anybody. He's got very long arms and moves extremely well, making him almost impossible to guard. He's a fine dribbler and passer, doesn't turn the ball over, hits his foul shots, and cleans up on the offensive glass.
Weaknesses-Blart isn't an elite defender. He can play a little help defense and won't get lit up, but don't expect him to block shots or deny the ball well. He seems to lack instincts and awareness. Still, he plays acceptable post defense. He's a much, much better offensive rebounder than he is a defensive rebounder. Just doesn't fight for positon much.
Overall-This guy is a lotto pick all the way. He projects to be an elite post scorer in BBS, with good midrange and acceptable defense and rebounding, especially offensive boards. All the size and skill to be an All-Star. Not a shotblocker, not an elite rebounder, but with his offense it'll be hard to not start him within a few years.
BBS Comparison-He seems to fall somewhere in between Tyler Hansbrough and Demarcus Cousins. To be sure, he's going to be a much better pro than Derrick Caracter.
Draft projection- Somewhere between 3-6. He's not going to be a superstar, but he's going to be a great option scorer.
Projected ratings-
A C C- B B
Miscallaneous- Hal Blart is a relative of the famous BBS Blart family. His father, Gil Blart, is the GM of the Blazers. His aunt, Doris, runs the Nets. His family dog whispere, Cesar, runs the Lakers. His uncle and rabbi, Saul, and his alter ego, Paul Blart Mall Cop, run the Magic. He is related to Paul Blart's tin, Skoal Blart, but it is not known if Skoal is his uncle or cousin. Spencer Blart, Paul Blart's commissioner, is his grandpa.
