Jarek Havlicek 19 USK Praha (Czech) SG 6'7 210 Lbs
Potential BBS Ratings
C+ C+ C- B- C A
The star player over in the Czech Republic right now has to be USK Praha's Jarek Havlicek. Featured on the January EuroHoops cover Havlicek has taken the Czech basketball league over by storm by averaging 24.7 PPG and 3 SPG for league leading USK Praha. Known mostly for creating great hockey players Havlicek is reminding many Czech supporters of Jiri Welsch. However most think he will be a much better player then Welsch ever was.
Strengths.
Incredibly athletic and a decent jumper Havlicek has destroyed the Czech league this year. Has had some monster dunks in plays and although a streaky shooter has shown the ability to make a clutch 20 footer. Plays the passing lanes very well and his lateral quickness makes him a very capable perimeter defender. Compared to the rest of BBS Jarek is very mediocre, however his age and potential make him a very special prospect but has shown all the tools necessary to be a superb player. Can play the three as well as the two. Will be a more athletic guard then a shooting guard if anything, should have the same ability wise on the offensive end on the defensive end.
Weaknesses
Can't handle or pass at all. Reminding some scouts of Michael Pietrus with his lack of passing and handles. Strength is a problem too. Mainly a big potential guy. In a couple years can be very good or very bad and anywhere in between.
