DellJuan Pearson
18
Eastlake High School
SF
6'10
220 lbs
Potential BBS Ratings
B B- C+ B C+ A
The best high school prospect since LeBron James and Lance Stephenson. Journalists and basketball scouts alike have been following Pearson since he was in middle school. He is an absolute phenom who has dominated high school basketball and will dominate in college unless he is granted early approval to enter the BBS.
Strengths
He is good at just about everything. He is a prolific scorer, a crafty passer and can play four positions. His biggest strength right now is his defense, which is constantly improving and will make him a two-way superstar.
He can hit shots from beyond the arc and is not afraid to drive to the basket. He is also an improving rebounder who should average at least 7 per game at his natural position.
Pearson is a guaranteed future all-star with a ton of upside and is constantly improving.
Weaknesses
While they are few and far between, some of them are noticeable.
He is not the best free throw shooter and could stand to improve his mid-range shooting game. His mechanics are good, but he just happens to be a better outside shooter than mid-range shooter.
If he wants to play power forward, he will not be a very good shot blocker. His ball handling is decent, but he will average around 3 turnovers-per-game as a starting point guard.
Needs to improve his strength and conditioning. His work ethic will allow him to and his body should fill out as he gets older.
Needs to attack the defensive boards, but he is an absolute hawk on the offensive boards.
Projection:
Easily a top-2 pick in the 2022 draft if he is granted entry.
