Most likely the most exciting FBB class ever.
1) Ricky Washington SG 6'6'' 210 21 B B- C C+ C A
Washington is a certain top-5 pick in this draft.
His offensive prowess and budding defensive game will make him a threat from the moment he steps onto the court, but if you ask any college analyst what sets him apart from other prospects, they'll respond that it's his team spirit and serious approach to learning the game.
When he first entered Troy State, the Toronto-native was a two or three-star recruit on most lists, but his unbelievable work ethic put Troy State on the map and took them to their first Elite 8 this past season after a Sweet 16 elimination the season prior.
In order to take them there, he mounted averages of 23.5 ppg, 6.7 rpg and 3.2 apg.
Look out for Washington on the next level.
2) Andres Kemp SF 6'8'' 225 19 B- C+ C B- C+ A
Kemp is next in line in this year's FBB prospects and should be a top-10 pick.
Kemp will be one of the best shot blockers at the small forward position that the league will see and could potentially be an undersized power forward if needed.
There are very few flaws to Kemp's game, but also, very few things that he does exceptionally... yet.
Kemp is expected to be the next Delvon Roe - a small forward who does a little bit of everything on both sides of the floor.
3) Benjie Holman PF 6'9'' 246 22 C+ B- C- B C A
Holman is a versatile big man in the mold of David West, but not quite as adept to mixing it up inside.
Holman is a versatile big man with tremendous upside who makes things happen on both sides of the floor.
Holman played all four seasons at Marshall and got better every year.
He will not make an immediate impact, but expected to improve into a solid starter.
His biggest issue is rebounding, which is very poor for a man of his size.
4a and b) Nigel Dial C 7'3'' 225 22 B- C- D+ B- C+ B
Lavar Dial C 7'4'' 240 22 B- C- C B B- C
The Collins twins, the Lopez twins and now the Dial twins are the next great set of twins to come out of the NCAA and coincidentally, Stanford.
The Dials have grown up playing together and love being on the same team.
In fact, insider scouts say that their potential will go up by 25 points each if the same team drafts them in the 1st round - that's how much they love being on the same team.
Either way, a team would have to be crazy to not want two guys with size like the Dials in their frontcourt.
5) Timmy Mason PG 6'2'' 175 23 C A- C C+ C- A
An absolute gunner from outside with huge potential.
Mason is an undersized combo guard who can shoot the lights out and has polished his craft after spending four years at St. Bonaventure in upstate New York.
Mason is a specialist and with that comes a huge risk, but he wants to prove the haters wrong when they say that he will not convert to being a solid pro.
Mason is not a very good athlete and as a result, he will work far better in a slow offense, but he has shown that he is a good ball-handler and average passer for a point guard.
Will Mason be worth the risk? Time will tell...
