Pacers Trade: Lance Stephenson
Warriors Trade: Jackie Skoals Kareem Melton Rebels 2022 1st(#18)
Pacers Accept.
Do this deal for a couple reasons. First and foremost, needed to get under the HC after re-signing Sydney. I didn't want to risk losing him in FA, and that could happen with some bad teams having cap, so this is the safer way out IMO. I have plenty of room under the HC now. Few.
Second, my team played like SHIT after getting Lance, and I think it's because he just was an awful fit around the rest of my team. His stats went down, so did Sidney's, and Karron's. Lance is sick, but for whatever reason, he didn't gel with the rest of my team.
Third, I kinda wanna get younger, and Skoals looks nice, and while Melton looks like shit, his notes/first tc/etc. seem to suggest he has sick upside, so I'll take a chance.

You'd be surprised the lack of interest there is in superstar players. It's quite pathetic.

Literally, after talking to about 15-20 teams, and ruling out the other teams, I had one other half-decent offer for Lance.

Agreed. Skoals is going to be an all league PG.

I'm sure it'll work out OK for Nova. It's not very good value but he should get two good players out of it. Skoals definitely looks promising.

Meh, we'll see. The fact that Spence had him going #4 last year with C B+ C C D A ratings suggests he had a ton of potential, and he had a good first TC, and he said Melton will be a stud in the mock draft thread, so that's not a bad thing. I could see him being a C+ A+ C+ A- D B type player if he does have that kind of potential, which is not bad at all.
It's a huge risk, but I'm away all day Friday, and I literally got 1 other half-decent offer from Aaron, that was it.

I'm glad Pig is making huge moves. He's a great GM that knows how to make a great lineup, and it's been awhile since he had a relevant core. Always good when guys go all-out in their Contract Years. For instance, Ducky may have gotten his 40, but look what Andrew and Martinez were able to do by going all-out for top talents in their CYs. Nice to see that there will be another top team in the West.

The way I see it, anything I get in FA I also get from this deal. So, if I get a nice player for my MLE or something, that's an added thing from this deal.

what a horrible trade for the pacers, wow says the guy who let his good players enter FA to have 5 mill in cap to try and make a splash.

And i'm not paying Beaboius 9 mil unless i trade nocedal or another team wants Rod. I'm not paying a backup that money.
Pretty obvious declines

lol @ splash with 5 mill in cap. lol @ your criticism having no fucking relevance. A 5.8/5 yr deal could get me a decent player. We have a win rating of 70 so we could secure a rotational vet or take a chance at a young player. Regardless, there is no way i'm signing Ivan Cann to a 85 million dollar deal

I didn't notice he asked for that much. Win rating doesn't really make an impact btw.

Was supposed to get 5 instead of Skoals and the pick, but the whole ducky deal kinda fucked that up. But, I don't mind, because there was no one I liked outside of the 4 SF's anyway.
