I'm taking offers for both. It doesn't necessarily mean I want to get rid of both of them. I'd probably prefer to only deal one away, but we'll see what kind of offers come in. If I get great offers for both and I think it helps up out, I'll trade both. We'll see.
Just FYI, Peja was just re-signed to a longterm deal, I think it starts around 10mill, ends at 15mill. He shot nearly 50% from 3pt land this year too. Kobe makes 8.9mill next season.
What am I looking for? It all depends. Some teams probably have established guys to offer, some might have youth and picks, some might have a combination of the two. So I don't want to close the door on anyone who might want to make a deal.
If I can trade a guy like Kobe for multiple very good players and I think I can still be a good team, I'd consider doing a deal like that.
By the same token, if I get a big rebuilding offer full of youth and good draft picks, I might go that way too. I think, though, that if you make an offer of youth and picks for Kobe, you need to have a very good pick in this year's draft. If you don't have one to offer, whatever else you're offering better be damn good.
