Jafar Ahmad (J.A.) Garang C 7'3" 217 21 St. John's Current Ratings: B- D- D+ A+ C- B StrengthsAn absolute workhorse on defense in the post. Garang swats shots like flies and also has incredible footwork, taking charges and drawing offensive fouls. Possesses incredible lateral quickness, which allows him to get back on defense for blocks. At St. John's, he is currently averaging 12.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 6.1 bpg He will be an absolute legend when it comes to defense at the next level. On offense, he is not terrible either. He is very efficient in the post and only takes shots that he knows he can make. You will never catch him settling for a jump shot, even when he's wide open, he looks to move the ball. He has an 8-foot wingspan. He is a freak. WeaknessesAwful rebounder who gets bullied for loose boards. Not very strong and gets pushed around under the basket. Has a lot of trouble shooting the ball and at the stripe. Somewhat limited upside. Scouts don't know how much better he will become. Has predictable post moves and is useless on the offensive boards. OutlookHis defense alone will make him a top-10, possibly top-5 pick. May lead the league in shot blocking immediately. Will never be a complete player and likely never an all-star, but is expected to make all-defense teams consistently from day 1.

Aar is clearly trying to piss off anyone who complained about the ratings in recent draft classes.

Aar is clearly trying to piss off anyone who complained about the ratings in recent draft classes. Not really... These two guys are very one-dimensional. They have a really high rating in one category and suck everywhere else.

I like it. I don't see why people have to get so upset. id prefer one dimensional types then a draft full of studs that are good at everything.

I know you're not singling me out, but I'm not upset, and I don't have an issue with it, just think that this is pushing it. I'd almost rather the guy be like 6-6 or 6-7.

I like this guy cause he should go top 8, an if a prospect like this came out he'd probably go top 8 just based on defense.
