LaRue Strickland SF 6'9" 210 17 St. James High School (Port Arthur, TX) Current Ratings: B- C C+ C C+ A StrengthsRaw, raw, raw. Strickland is a gifted student-athlete who was on his high school's honor roll, but agents got in his ear about how physically gifted he is and that the next level should be his next stop. A very cerebral player, very mature for his age and loves to study the game. Doesn't have a lot of strengths just yet. He's got great athleticism and quickness and dominated in high school, but many are skeptical if he is good enough for the pros just yet. Likes to take it strong to the basket, but is somewhat weak. Very good rebounder - should average around 7 per game at SF. WeaknessesVery poor shooter who needs to continue working on it in the gym for many hours if he wants to improve. Not a great defender, gets occasional steals, but opposing players will be able to blow by him until he improves. Has a very incomplete game, needs a lot of work. OutlookShould have very high potential, but will it be enough to improve his game and make him a starting-calibre player. Someone may risk taking him in the lottery, but he should be a mid-to-late 1st.

Like how he went #2 instead of mid to late 1st round.
