Strengths: Konrad has all the tools of an amazing big man. He has a nice array of post moves that allow him to control the paint. He has developed an effective shot with both his left and right hand under the basket. He is a really solid passing big man and has great court vision. His man defense is about as good as it gets. He certainly has the prototypical size that scouts love to see out of a PF. Athletically, he is at least average for a man of his size. The tools are all there to be a stud big man in the future. He also is a very hard worker. He increased his FT% from 53% to 77% over the course of the last two seasons. Konrad is also a solid defender. He lapses from time to time manned-up, but he is a great shot-blocker.
Weaknesses: He has dominated against lesser competition, but some wonder how his game will translate to better competition. He doesn't always work as hard as he should on the boards, but one couldn't say he is a bad rebounder either. He needs to work a bit on his mid-range game so he doesn't become a one-dimensional offensive player. He isn't a great man-defender and sometimes seems to focus too much on staying out of foul trouble. These are all things that can easily be overcome. The tools are all there, but now he just has to prove his game is legit.
