Strengths:[/u]
Van Hardevaald is regarded as one of the premiere young international prospects. He's a magician with the ball, as he's a terrific young ball handler. He's a great passer, but more importantly he's very efficient with the ball, as he doesn't turn it over much. He's also a fantastic 3 point shooter, and should win a few 3 pt contests during his career. His mid range game is also very good, and will only further improve. He's going to be a phenomenal shooter and passer, and is a solid rebounder. Very good upside.
Weaknesses:[/u]
He's not the best inside scorer which is slightly disappointing since he is 6-7. His main weakness however is defense, he's very very raw defensively. His positional defense needs a lot of work, as does his ball-stealing. Most of his current D rating comes from his quickness.
Overview:[/u]
Should develop into a C A+ A+ C+ C+ B type player due to his good upside, and he should be an excellent starter. His team in Russia will not allow him to leave until the 2024 draft, and if he does, the team that drafts him must pay $5 million dollars for each of his first two seasons.
