in any BBS season?
30 games into the season, Xavier Henry is still pouring in 40+PPG for the Utah Jazz. With the season being over 1/3 finished, Henry's output can no longer be explained by the time tested "early season inflation" theory. An A-/A scorer, Henry has been amongst the elite scorers in BBS for the past 6+ seasons, but what has caused this unexpected jump in production? It seems pretty obvious that Henry managed to go up in scoring during TC, though no visible ratings changes occurred. Henry was also the beneficiary of the +5 to any player for any rating post pad thread(which went to his inside scoring). Here is a closer look at some of his best and worst box scores from the season:
The Best:
Day 7 vs PORT 61 points on 23/37 shooting. 4/5 from 3. 11/12 from the line.
Day 15 vs ORL 58 points on 21/30 shooting. 6/8 from 3. 10/11 from the line
Day 20 vs SEA 54 points on 19/40 shooting. 2/9 from 3. 14/17 from the line.
The Worst:
Day 8 vs SA 21 points on 8/15 shooting. 2/5 from 3. 3/4 from the line.
Day 9 vs LAL 22 points on 7/24 shooting. 2/4 from 3. 6/6 from the line.
Day 39 vs SEA 27 points on 10/27 shooting. 2/10 from 3. 5/6 from the line.
Yes, that's right. His third lowest points game so far was indeed 27 points. He has not scored less than 21 points in a game this season. He is 52% from the field, 87% from the line, and 43% from 3.
Can Xavier Henry can keep up this torrid scoring streak? For now, he has been hovering around the 40 PPG mark for the past few sims. Perhaps many early season home games have helped boost Henry and even the whole Utah organization in scoring and efficiency. Only time will tell if Henry can continue scoring at a pace unknown to BBS.
