1. Orlando Magic - Gabe Aimetti C 7'2'' 275 22 B C- B- C A- A
The Magic already have a great looking young center in Ha Lau Wa but they cant pass on adding an amazingly talented big like Aimetti. Aimetti does everything but defend the rim well, and with Wa behind him the Magic look set in the front court for years to come.
2. San Antonio Spurs (from the Miami Heat) - LaRue Strickland SF 6'9'' 210 18 B- C C+ C C+ A
The Spurs have a good amount of talent already so they can go with the player that can help them long range, instead of going for immediate help. If Aimetti is gone, Strickland will be there pick. Strickland is a very good young wing that has the upside to be special. Very raw, Strickland shouldn't be an immediate impact.
3. Denver Nuggets - Beep Lane SG 5'9'' 200 20 A C C C+ C- A
Beep Lane could be a very nice compliment to Mike Smith. Both love to get to the rim and force the issue on offense. While Smith had a rough rookie season, most believe Lane will be an instant impact type and should get plenty of shots in Denver. A Rory Davis and Lane inside outside combo is very scary.
4. Dallas Mavericks - Will Henderson PG 6'0'' 185 20 B- C B- B C A
The Mavericks need a young point guard that can handle the ball so that Abdul Denton can move over to shooting guard. No player better fills that need in this draft then Henderson. Henderson is a good ball handler and defender that makes good decisions. He should start on opening night for the Mavs.
5. Detroit Pistons - Jeramy Ransaw SF 6'7'' 230 22 B- B- C- B+ C- A
Although not a perfect fit, adding the defense Ranshaw provides is hard to pass up. Ranshaw can come in and play small forward while Andres Kemp can slide to power forward. The Kemp-Ranshaw forward combination should be absolutely nasty defensively for the Pistons.
6. Indiana Pacers - Amon Cummings PF 7'0'' 225 20 B C C B- B- A
The Pacers need another big man to compliment DeAndre Chamberlain and Jax Dalhausser and Cummings might be the perfect fit. Chamberlain is versatile enough to play center or power forward. Dalhausser has some weight issues and probably best suited for a bench role. Cummings is a big time power forward spect that would give the Pacers a nice big man trio for the next decade.
7. Seattle SuperSonics - Keith Washington SF 6'6'' 242 20 C B- B+ B+ B+ B
Washington is a good fit for the upstart Sonics because of his versatility. He can play essentially 4 positions and should get big time minutes even as a rookie.
8. Denver Nuggets (from the Los Angeles Clippers) - J.J. White PF 6'9'' 230 20 A- C C- B C- A
The Nuggets could go in any number of directions here, but adding an inside scorer like White is too much to pass up. White added to Rory Davis, Beep Lane and Mike Smith will create a buzz in Denver and should be the core that brings them back to the playoffs.
9. Detroit Pistons (from the Chicago Bulls) - LeBron Grant PF 6'10'' 232 21 C+ C+ C- B- B+ B
The Pistons could really use a center, and while Grant could play there it isn't his ideal position. Having said that, it'll be tough for the Pistons to pass on Grant here. Adding Grant to their core will make the Pistons extremely flexible and balanced.
10. San Antonio Spurs - Cameron Dodge SG 6'2'' 190 21 C B C B C A
Spurs again go upside here with Dodge. A pesky defender and solid shooter, Dodge would be a perfect fit as a combo guard off the bench. If developed correctly, he could be a solid starter at 1 or 2.
11. Atlanta Hawks - J.A. Garang C 7'3'' 217 21 B- D- D+ A+ C- B
The Hawks would like to take a big step next year, so adding a defensive monster like Garang makes sense. With big time scorers Dmitri Maximov and Daniel Johnson all the Hawks need is defense to contend soon.
12. Houston Rockets - Ade Cissokho PF 6'11'' 215 21 B- C- C C+ C+ A
The Rockets need a shooting guard and some more talented bigs. They could get either at this spot, but the lack of really competent bigs pushes them towards Cissokho. Thin and wiry, Cissokho should get lots of big minutes for the Rockets next year.
13. San Antonio Spurs (from the New Orleans Hornets) - Desean Foster C 7'4'' 296 23 B C C- B B B
The Spurs once again can go for best available, and here they grab a mountain of a man in Desean Foster. Foster is a bit of a gamble, but if he pays off he should compliment Alastair De Groot and Tyler Perdue well.
