1. Minnesota Timberwolves – 155 Dwight Howard and Andrew Bynum still being this good was something no one could have seen. This is another way Ashes has gotten lucky in the past few seasons. Lucky or not, Ashes has the Wolves ranked at the tops of the league and playing great ball. I think they will really struggle against a team with a stud PG in the playoffs. This may finally be the Wolves year to make the finals, but then again they did lose in the first round to an ordinary Warriors team.
2. Milwaukee Bucks – 150 The defending Eastern Conference Champions still have a great young core. John Wall going down in the playoffs for the second straight season may have been a blessing in disguise. It lead to the improbable comeback against the New Jersey Nets in the ECF. The Bucks now don’t have a scorer like Wall provided, but they may have the best defensive team in the league. At this point, the East could go be won by about six different teams. The Bucks are favorite in most teams eyes, but an early exit is always possible.
3. Los Angeles Lakers – 145 Nathaniel Davidson is going to make the Lakers a tough out for any team in the league. He is the best player in the league and completely dominates come playoff time. This Laker team certainly isn’t as good as it was the last two or three seasons, but a title is still definitely possible.
4. New Jersey Nets – 139 The Nets have frequently been using a lineup that plays potential all league center Kareem Joffer at small forward. They also play an all league small forward (Jeremiah Gress) at point guard. This is a tough matchup for any team in the league. It also makes it about impossible for any team to try and match up with the Nets because sacrificing one sim for to try and win one game is isn’t worth it. They have amazing depth with Max Catalano and Jared McGahee on the bench. Adding the best scorer the league has ever seen in Xavier Henry makes this potentially the team to beat this season.
5. Detroit Pistons – 108 When Jay voted he said, “I’m probably the only person to have myself ranked 2nd.” He actually was the only person to have the Pistons ranked higher than 6th. Jay did do a great job in the offseason with the Pistons. They have a great core and a good future. Derrick Rose is once again leading a team that will be a threat come playoff time. Karron Johnson and Glen Rice Jr provide a very good bench. This team is lacking when it comes to rebounding and having a true number one scorer. They may make some playoff noise, but I don’t see them making it past the second round.
6. Philadelphia 76ers – 104 I think a lot of people may have had the 76ers winning the East last year had it not been for their injuries. Since they have been relatively healthy, their struggles this year is a surprise. I thought trading Kenny Hardaway was a mistake because he was always a much tougher player against me than Hahn Owens. The 76ers could win the East just as easily as the other top teams, but they are likely going to be susceptible to a first round exit due to a tougher opponent.
7. Boston Celtics – 89 Kevin Durant has the best core he has had around him in a few seasons. It may be too late for him to carry another team to the title, but he is going to have the Celtics causing playoff noise for what I’m guessing is the first time ever. Note that the Celtics were left off two ballots
8. Utah Jazz – 80 DeJuan Blair is still the best big man in the league. I would like to say they have a chance in the playoffs but they peaked last year and aren’t going to do much in this years playoffs. The Rebels are definitely a better team with the acquisition of Rivers. The Rockets have more playoff potential than the Jazz as well in my opinion.
9. New Orleans Hornets – 69 From what I’ve heard, we might as well go ahead and award the title to the Hornets because Dru is that good. I’m going to lower myself to a sad standard and quote Lee Corso with a “Not So Fast My Friends!” Terrell Morrison is a stud but he doesn’t take care of the ball. They also start two players who don’t score 10 points on a good shooting night. Cousins and Evans are both over the hill. It is safe to say that this team has flaws. I don’t think they are capable of winning a series this year, but making the playoffs for the THIRD TIME EVER is quite the accomplishment.
10. Houston Rockets – 60 Greg has a team with a nice future ahead of itself. DllJuan Pearson is going to be a top 5 player in this league. Brynn Marshall an Leo Tate are greay players to put beside him. If the can get some big men they will be a legit threat in the West.
11. Phoenix Suns – 59 12. New York Knicks – 40 13. Washington Wizards – 38 14. Toronto Raptors – 28 15. Las Vegas Rebels – 23
Others Receiving Votes: Cleveland (5), Seattle (5), Golden State (14)

And Karron Johnson. And the guy that plays 14 minutes a game as a backup center. We were tied for the Central before the Rose injury, so I'm confident my team is better than where we ranked. We still haven't lost a home game with a full roster.

Most of what I say is what I see happening in the playoffs. I don't give a shit about the regular season. Also FYI, you were 6th or 7th in every poll besides your own (2nd).

So the fact that I bring two great rebounders off the bench and have one of the best rebounding 1-3 combos in the league will just be thrown out the door?
