1. Orlando - Percy Jackson SF 6'10'' 225 20 B- C+ D+ B- C+ A
Just what the Magic need, another SF! But really they cant go in any other direction here, Jackson is just too good. He has the ability to score inside and out, and may even to move over to PF. He is a poor mans Kevin Durant that should be the best player on the Magic squad in 3 years.
2. Indiana - Deon Price SG 6'4'' 225 20 B B- C B- C A
Shooting guard isn't a huge need for the Pacers with Kareem Melton already there, but Price is too good to pass up. Price should push Melton to SF long term. Price has the ability to be a great 2 way guard who can score inside and out. Scouts compare him to Jared McGahee but with more upside and a better long term ability to be an upper echelon player.
3. Miami - FORFEITED
4. Memphis - Byron Gill PG 6'0'' 180 21 C B+ B- C D+ A
The Grizz can go in pretty much any direction with their pick, so it makes more sense for them to just go for upside. Gill is a player that should be an upper tier type point guard with superb ball handling and shooting skills. The Grizz already have Cameron Dodge, but he seems more of a fit at shooting guard. Gill and Dodge would be an explosive, ball hawking backcourt.
5. Seattle (from Portland) - Oscar Wright SF 6'9'' 222 22 B- B+ B- B C+ B
The Sonics are already pretty deep, and have solid players everywhere. What they really need is a stud scorer to lead their team. Wright is pretty easily the best scorer from Day 1 in this draft, but scouts are worried his upside is limited and his ceiling is low. Worst case Wright can start at 2 or 3 and be a top 2 scoring option.
6. San Antonio - Theo Smith PF 6'11'' 240 20 C+ C D+ B B- A
The Spurs need some bigs with upside, and get to choose between the 2 best in the draft, Theo Smith and Keyon Clayton. They take Smith because he's a better rebounder and defender and could be just as good a scorer as Clayton is in 5 years. Smith isn't a great athlete, but he does have a great work ethic.
7. Detroit (from LA Clippers) - Kenyon McMillan PG 6'5'' 200 19 B- C C+ B+ C A
The Pistons were able to make their Contract year and keep their best prospect Amon Cummings. Because they have Cummings, they'll probably pass on Clayton and take McMillan. McMillan is a very good point guard spect that should eventually replace Derrick Rose. McMillan is a very good defender that should be a solid long term 1 guard.
8. Atlanta - Keyon Clayton C 6'11'' 220 22 B- D+ D C+ C+ A
The Hawks need talented young bigs and are very happy to have Clayton available here. Clayton is very strong and loves to score inside. Not much of a defender or rebounder, Clayton likes to save his effort for the offensive side of things.
9. San Antonio (from Chicago) - Reggie Taylor SF 6'8'' 230 20 B+ C+ C B- C+ B
The Spurs continue to strengthen their front line with another very good inside player in Taylor. Taylor isn't a great defender, but he can score. Taylor can play 3 or 4, and score from pretty much anywhere on the floor.
10. Orlando (from Dallas) - Cortez Wilson SF 6'8'' 225 22 C+ B C+ B C+ B
Magic need a center but they wont get one here. Wilson will never be elite, but he is solid and will give good minutes at 2, 3 and 4. Some scouts even think Wilson can play some 1 as well. Regardless, he brings great versatility and should be a valuable member of any bench.
11. Denver - Gage Hill PG 6'0'' 210 22 B C B B C B
Mike Smith may not be the answer. Because of this, Gage Hill is a solid option here for Denver. Hill is actually similar to Smith but its possible his game will translate better to the pros.
12. Atlanta (from Cleveland) - Tyson Barber SF 6'8'' 235 22 B+ B C C C+ B
Barber is really more of a 6th man type that can score in bunches. It isn't an ideal pick here for Atlanta, but its better then reaching for a big man that might bust. Barber will be a solid backup at 2, 3 and 4 and might even break the starting five at PF.
13. Miami (from New Orleans) - Kenny Salling SG 6'3'' 226 23 B C C B- C- B
Salling has some interesting intangibles and nice athleticism. His upside is uncertain, but if he can break through he could be an intriguing player. This is basically a free pick for Miami, so they can risk taking a flyer on someone.
14. Cleveland (from Golden State) - Conner Stewart SF 6'9'' 211 21 C B C B+ C B
Stewart is a solid role player. Good defender. Good FT shooter. Stewart should give Cleveland solid bench minutes even as a rookie.
15. Dallas(from New York) - Allen Williams SG 6'4'' 206 22 C+ B C+ C+ C B
The Mavs need to add some depth and Williams seems to fit in well as a combo guard off the bench. Though he doesn't have a true position, Williams is a solid player that can do a bit of everything.
