This is the pre-lottery mock draft based on final standings
1) Orlando Magic - Percy Jackson SF 6'10'' 225 20 B- C+ D+ B- C+ A
Jackson is seemingly the consensus #1 overall pick. 20 years old with a Kevin Garnett-type body and sky high potential. As close to a no-brainer as you'll see.
2) Indiana Pacers - Deon Price SG 6'4'' 225 20 B B- C B- C A
Price is the Robin to Jackson's Batman. Despite being small, Price can throw his weight around and with high potential, he could be an all-star who is similar to Lance Stephenson.
3) Memphis Grizzlies - Byron Gill PG 6'0'' 180 21 C B+ B- C D+ A
Grizzlies will take the best player available and starting your new movement with a point guard like Gill certainly can't hurt. Gill looks to be a stud point guard.
4) Miami Heat - Forfeit
Sucks to be eboner.
5) Detroit Pistons (from Clippers) - Oscar Wright SF 6'9'' 222 22 B- B+ B- B C+ B
Pistons want to win now and they do this by taking this draft's Devon Wedge. Wright would be the consummate sixth man for a contending team.
6) Seattle Supersonics (from Blazers) - Theo Smith PF 6'11'' 240 20 C+ C D+ B B- A
The more polished of the two stud big men in the draft. Smith needs some work, but with time, he should be a starting-calibre power forward. Expected to have huge potential.
7) San Antonio Spurs - Keyon Clayton C 6'11'' 220 22 B- D+ D C+ C+ A
There is a premium on bigs in the league and as a result, Clayton goes to the Spurs at #7. The drop off from Smith to Clayton seems negligible and the Spurs pounce on Clayton with their thin frontcourt.
8) San Antonio Spurs (from Bulls) - Reggie Taylor SF 6'8'' 230 20 B+ C+ C B- C+ B
The Spurs hope that Skoals can recover and overlook McMillan and Hill to select the youthful Reggie Taylor, who can play both the 3 and 4 with his skill set. Taylor is ready to go from day one and is only 20.
9) Atlanta Hawks - Tyson Edwards C 6'9'' 226 22 B- C- C- B C+ B
The Hawks get desperate and take Edwards. Has poor size and questionable ability, but his notes say that he has solid upside and that's good enough for Dash, who is never afraid to take risks. Expect an attempt or two to trade down.
10) Orlando Magic (from Mavericks) - Kenyon McMillan PG 6'5'' 200 19 B- C C+ B+ C A
The Magic get the pleasant surprise of the draft with McMillan falling into their lap at 10. Sure he can't shoot, but with A potential at age 19, the Magic won't worry about it and will snap him off the board as soon as Edwards goes.
11) Denver Nuggets - Tyson Barber SF 6'8'' 235 22 B+ B C C C+ B
The Nuggets are in a position to take a flier on someone who will help them compete sooner rather than later, so they snag the polished Barber. The other small forwards on the board are stated to have limited upside and so is Barber, but he is the most polished and is a hustler.
12) Miami Heat (from Hornets) - Gage Hill PG 6'0'' 210 22 B C B B C B
The Heat take the best available player in Hill. An interesting skill set paired with solid size and the potential to become a very intriguing player. Hill is a no-brainer here for the Heat if he's on the board.
13) Cleveland (from Golden State) - Conner Stewart SF 6'9'' 211 21 C B C B+ C B
Great size and defense make Stewart the safest pick at 13. If he has even a little bit of potential, he could be a very solid contributor from the bench or a decent starter.
