1. Memphis - Rick Barry SF 6'7'' 205 21 B+ A- C+ C C A
The Grizz have a nice young big man in Kareem Joffer and a nice young guard in Cameron Dodge so adding a big time scorer like Rick Barry is perfect. Barry is an elite scorer that could near 30PPG as a rookie.
2. Portland - Billy Cunningham PF 6'6'' 215 22 B+ C B- C+ B+ A
The Blazers need a little bit of everything. In Cunningham they get just that. Cunningham could play 2 3 or 4 and play any of those positions well. An amazing inside scorer and rebounder, Cunningham will bet he face of the Blazers franchise for years to come.
3. San Antonio - Bob Love PF 6'8'' 225 22 B+ C C B B A
The Spurs already have a couple of nice young bigs in Tyler Perdue and Keyon Clayton but they cant pass on Love here. Bob Love is the prototype PF. He can score inside, defend and board. Adding Love is a big step towards the Spurs contending.
4. LA Clippers (from Orlando) - Gail Goodrich PG 6'1'' 170 22 B B C+ C+ D A
Goodrich is a big time scoring PG that should be a 25PPG scorer in his career. Not really a true PG, but he is a great scorer and should help the Clippers a ton in the long run. Lets just hope they keep him.
5. Golden State - Jerry Sloan SF 6'5'' 195 23 B- C C A- B- A
Sloan isn't sexy, and wont be a super scorer but he can defend and board. He isn't ideal in the Warriors first step in their current rebuilding process, but he is a very solid player that should be a starter for the next decade.
6. Dallas (from LA Clippers) - Bob Weiss PG 6'2'' 180 23 C B- B B D+ A
The Mavericks get a big time PG prospect in Weiss. Brandon Jennings is still very good, but he is declining, so Weiss is a perfect fit. Weiss should be a superb handling sharp shooting 1 guard.
7. Indiana - Ollie Johnson PF 6'7'' 225 21 B+ C D C B+ A
Johnson might not play enough D to be a star, but he does 2 things extremely well. he can score and he can rebound. Both are pretty important commodities, especially on a team that is ready to compete like the Pacers. Johnson should be a great forward backup behind Cameron Carter and Theo Smith.
8. Cleveland - Bill Bradley SF 6'5'' 205 22 B C B A- C B
Cavs really need some young bigs, but grab the best player available here in Bradley. A very good defender and passer, Bradley should be a very good complimentary player in BBS.
9. Miami - Hank Finkel C 7'0'' 240 23 C+ D+ D+ B+ C+ B
Finkel is one of the better young big men in this draft. He probably wont be more then a solid starter, but at this point with the lack of big men around the league this is a very good pick.
10. Dallas (from Minnesota) - Keith Erickson SF 6'5'' 195 21 B C C B+ C+ B
Erickson is a solid scorer and rebounder and a pretty good defender. Dallas really needs to add some solid depth and with Weiss and now Erickson they've done just that.
11. Atlanta (from New Jersey) - Ron Reed SF 6'5'' 205 22 C D C- A- B+ B
The Hawks really need to add defense and rebounding, and Reed gives them just that. Not much on the offensive end, Reed is a superb defender and he should help off the bench from Day 1.
12. New York - Richie Moore SF 6'9'' 211 21 C B C B+ C B
The Knicks love defenders, and Moore can defend. Moore also has a pretty nice jumpshot and some solid upside. Nice end of the lotto pick for the Knicks.
13. Memphis (from Chicago) - Dick Van Arsdale SF 6'5'' 210 22 B+ C C+ C+ C B
The Girzz add another scorer in Dick Van Arsdale. DVA doesnt have the outside shooting of Barry, but he should compliment him well on the wing.
