Centers:
1. Karron Thomson- At 31 years old Karron right now is the best center on the free agent market. He had a career high in rebounds last season on the Utah Jazz and led them to a post-season berth. Karron is a veteran big man in BBS and would be a huge addition to any contending teams. Look for Karron to earn a decent paycheck or even a 1-year type of deal.
2. Manchu Chau- One of the top shot blockers in the league hits the market again this off-season and he will be looking for a nice paycheck. At only 31 years old this big man from China will make an immediate presence on any team that is fortunate enough to sign him. He tied a career high in blocks last season and career numbers range from 15 points, 9 boards and 3 + blocks.
3. Tyler Perdue- The next center on this list and the youngest of them all is the 29-year-old Tyler Perdue in his 8th year in the league coming out of Georgia. Always been known as a solid big in BBS, but the last few years it has gone unnoticed in San Antonio. He has put up a nice double double average the past few seasons and should earn himself a decent paycheck on the open market. It will be interesting to see if the Spurs will want to bring him back as there are reports they have made a huge trade to land an all star type of player.
Power Forward:
1.Eric Stoner-Stoner is probably the only worthwhile PF to go after on the free agent market this off-season. He is 29 years old and had a career season last year, look for Eric to make some big money. He had career highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. He is a dominate inside presence that will make a nice impact on a lot of teams.
2. JJ Keenan- He played more of a 6th man role last season on the Raptors, but Keenan has always been a solid post player through out his career. A force down low, could be a steal for any team. With the lack of dominant big men in this league and FA JJ would be a huge presence for anyone to have. He has the numbers to show he is worth the money.
3. Jack Creamer- Known as one of the biggest busts in league history, Creamer has been always looked at as an overpriced big man. He received a huge contract a few seasons back and has always been unwanted around the league ever since. Coming off his huge deal and with the lack of big men in FA you could see Creamer get a nice 1-year deal or an MLE. Though he may have busted being selected at number 3, he can still put up a double double for any team that will have his services.
Small Forward:
1. Robert Band- Band might be the first player on this list to receive a max offer from any of the teams who are willing to spend big money in FA. He is a 26-year-old SF looking to make a huge impact on any team that will show him the green. The Raptors will definitely want to bring Band back but will not totally miss him as they landed the number 2 pick in the draft and selected Billy Cunningham. Band is a player that can do a little bit of everything and has the making of a star. Look for Band to make a run to a new team.
2. Michael Gilchrist- Gilchrist is a late bloomer here in BBS. Over the past few seasons he has come out of nowhere being a huge force on the Rockets and Warriors. With another solid season under his belt, look for Michael to land a nice deal, most likely he will get a solid 1 year deal worth around max money.
3. Filipe Jatoba- This was a tough decision between Machata and Jatoba, but I feel Jatoba would be a better choice for any team. He is not a star but is a great role player for any contending team. Solid defensive presence as well and a good rebounder at the 3. Look for the suns to try and bring him back, if not, he could earn some big money somewhere else.
Shooting Guard:
1. Terrell Morrison- There is no way around it; this is the prize of the draft right here. Anyone that lands this 25-year-old stud is going to shit their pants. He is an absolute beast and is going to tear this league apart for the next 10 seasons. He is the best piece in the FA and if he leaves it will be big news. He has A’s across the board (except rebounds), which is pretty impressive. He has only been in the league for 4 seasons, and already has an impressive amount of awards and numbers. Do the Hornets get him back or does he want to be the star of a better franchise? It should be really interesting to see, but in the end I say he walks.
2. Skyler Hampton- What a number 2, damn. Hampton is another up and coming rising star in this league and he has hit the open market. He put up a career high in points, tied his career high in rebounds and steals. He is an impressive shooting guard that has spent his first 4 seasons in the league with the Washington Wizards. Does he go or stay? I think he stays.
3. James Harden- He is 35 years old but he can still play the game. Look for Harden to get a nice friendly deal and be a huge part to any team. I can see someone get lucky here and land Harden for the MLE, having such a veteran presence on any team that cheap would be amazing. The guy can still score and be an option on most teams, look for Harden to make an impact this season.
Point Guard:
1. Sylvester Rollins- Rollins is another player on the FA market that will receive max offers from a lot of teams. Rollins is an impressive scorer and more importantly a efficient point guard. His numbers last season were 28 points 7.7 assists 6.3 rebounds and he only turned it over 1.3 times a game. Even though he was hurt for a bit of the season he still has shown consistency in his four seasons in the league. The 28 year old will get some big money this off-season but where will he land. Does he stay with the Bucks? Look for Rollins to go back to the Bucks.
2. Trey Donovan- Another player from the Raptors is a FA and will make things even tougher for the Raptors this off-season. Trey is one of the most efficient point guards in the league and a nice force on the offensive end as well. I think Trey will receive max money here and rightfully so. Does he stay with the Raptors though? Lucky for the Raptors I think they will keep 1 of their guys and Trey will be the guy.
3. Tyreke Evans- Evans is 35 years old but still can play the game just like James Harden. Evans has been one of the top point guards in the league over the past 6-8 seasons or so and is still doing his thing. He will not get anything to huge other than a nice 1 year deal but look for Evans to make an impact on any team that signs him.
1. Karron Thomson- At 31 years old Karron right now is the best center on the free agent market. He had a career high in rebounds last season on the Utah Jazz and led them to a post-season berth.
