I do this because I am close to .500 and in the bottom of the pack in playoff contention and I want to solidify my 40 wins, especially if one of my other players goes down for a while. Hopefully Sydney doesn't retire and has another productive year or two left in him.

Pretty pleased with the trade. While Sydney was obviously the most talented player on my roster, I'm not really in a position to contend so it was easy to part with him. I get back some solid/decent guys who I can try and flip for hopefully some more picks.

It took quite a bit of discussion to get this done, but I'm glad it all worked out.
