Spencer, I was told that I am allowed to owe RC's to buyout a player. If I can't then I don't want to do the deal and eat my cap next year.

Spence interprets rule however he wants which is his right but he says he's about precedent yet during mp's guys could do it and just go -1 or whateva. In the rules it doesn't say you need to have 2 rc's at the time of the buyout just that it'll cost you 2 rc's. Spence's explanation is he doesn't want to get into negatives and eggers rule. It's bullshit. I think I make a good argument here and I'm just dismissed.

Why not just quickly do some rankings, send him the articles, and he can post under his own name? So he'll get some RCs.

My point is that I figured they would just get deducted. I was going to write the articles for andy anyway. I just thought that since it didn't say anything in the rules it would be ok. Its spences league though but I'll be over the hc when he gets put back on my team

I took your argument into consideration, but the only reason we went into negatives with RCs is because Midseason progression was lagging. people were more inclined to use an C they hadn't yet earned and I wanted to pump up that part of the league. Now that MP is dead and gone I see no reason into getting into negative RCs.
As far as rules go, if buying out a player is 2 RCs, and you have no RCs wouldnt that mean you couldnt buy a player out? I mean am I just interpreting it differently? Id say based on the actual rule Im correct and owing RCs isnt allowed. But it doesnt matter since bottom line, I dont want negative Rcs.
