Golden State Warriors
Duck-Young Bak SF 32 6'6'' 214 A A- C B B+ D
31.1 ppg 8.8 rpg 3.6 apg 2.2 spg 1.8 spg .476 fg% .445 3p%
Bak is still a stud and the Warriors would surely have more wins if they didn't have such a horrible point guard situation.
The Warriors don't have their 1st and are trying to win and Bak didn't get the job done.
Similar to the situation with Jeremiah Gress, I have to give Bak the same grade.
Grade C
Los Angeles Clippers
Jamal Jenkins PG 29 6'3'' 209 C+ A A+ B- C- C
25.7 ppg 4.6 rpg 4.6 apg 1.7 spg 1.8 topg .490 fg% .459 3p%
If Jenkins is your superstar, your team has problems.
However, the Clippers have a great supporting cast of aging stars.
Another team that did not have their 1st, but at least the Clippers almost made the playoffs.
Grade: C-
L.A. Lakers
Bob Love C 25 6'8'' 231 A C C A- A- C
22.6 ppg 11.7 rpg 2.9 apg 1.2 spg 1.4 bpg .483 fg% .812 ft%
The Lakers have a ton of superstar-caliber players and Love is the best of the bunch, only 25 years old with an "A" inside rating, Big Love is one for the future.
Love could be a free agent, which must be terrifying for the Lakers. However, with a loyalty rating of 98, I expect that Love could be a life-long Laker.
He may have a horrible stuttering problem off the court, but he never stutters with his play.
With the acquisition of QAJ, this team could go all the way.
Grade: A
Phoenix Suns
Kenyon McMillan SG 23 6'6'' 200 B+ B B+ A+ C C
17.3 ppg 5.0 rpg 4.9 apg 1.3 spg .470 fg% .889 ft%
McMillan has superstar ratings, but average player output.
The Suns have gone downhill, but have some great young players.
Brock Kennedy is an overachiever who justified his contract with his play this season.
McMillan, however, really needs to step up and make things happen.
GRADE: D
Portland Trail Blazers
DellJuan Pearson SF 24 7'0'' 232 A- A B A B+ C
32.8 ppg 9.1 rpg 4.3 apg 1.9 spg 1.7 bpg
DellJuan gets better exponentially each season and this season is no exception.
DellJuan is likely the only player in the league who could excel at every position on the court.
With Dmitri Maximov in the fold, the Blazers will be tough to beat for the playoffs.
Grade: A
Las Vegas Rebels
Sergei Van Hardevaald PG 23 6'9'' 231 C+ A A+ C C+ B
22.5 ppg 7.3 rpg 11.8 apg 1.3 spg 2.1 topg .466 fg% .896 ft%
With Desean Foster, it's tough to determine who the true superstar is, but SVH's MVP award would dictate otherwise.
SVH's rebounds per game, efficiency and age are what make him a true five-star superstar.
The Rebels have had an incredible season and it is due in part to how strong of a floor general SVH is.
Grade: A+
Seattle SuperSonics
Andres Kemp SF 25 6'9'' 236 A- B B A- C+ C
26.6 ppg 7.7 rpg 3.6 apg 2.3 spg 2.5 rpg 1.8 topg
Kemp has exceeded expectations and has shown his versatility.
His supporting cast is awful, but the Sonics have a solid foundation of young players who are boom or bust prospects.
Kemp was acquired for Earl Monroe in a widely criticized trade and Kemp has silenced the doubters with his solid averages.
However, the Sonics rely on him to be their top player and while he proved that he can do it, he can't do it alone.
Grade: B
