Per ESPNEWS.
It seems like every big time recruit that goes to OK State falls off the map, so maybe a coach change will solve it.

A head coach needs at least 4 years to bring his own players in to try and win. I heard that there was past animosity between Eddie Sutton and the OSU AD, which might have led to his son getting forced out. Sucks... he didn't deserve this.

That completely depends on his past job. Four years? If you're an assistant who does a lot of recruiting, you can get your guys to go with you. Same if you're a head coach elsewhere.

But yeah, sucks for Sutton. He definitely should've been given a lot more time, and the program should respect his dad more than that; a rocky relationship with an AD doesn't add up for me. They had a pretty decent roster this year but Eaton only turned it on late.

In Sutton's case he was the head coach in-waiting for a some period of time, so as an assistant he was recruiting for his future. I see your point.
