Sprinting workouts are the best though. I think so anyway. But sometimes it makes me throw up. No lie.

In sports, sprints were used as punishment. Can't do that shit again.

Well of course sprints were punishment. They were also used as conditioning for a reason. You just gotta be motivated.

If you can do 20 100's as hard as you can, good luck to you. Doing ten is tough. I'm not saying I've done it, it's just what Andy Murray did/does. He's a professional athlete though. I'd love to give this kinda training a try though. I was a 100m sprinter back in school with a PB of 11 flat (with spikes and on a track with blocks). I do wonder though how fast I'd manage to average the 100m over say 10 x 100m in 10mins. Andy Murray does them with a 14 sec average on a track, probably not with spikes on, probably without blocks. I have no idea how well I'd do, especially on road, but it'd be interesting to try one day.

One cardio workout I really want to try is one that I read Andy Murray actually started doing recently. Rather than the usual boring bog-standard run, he started doing timed sprints. Basically you end up targetting a number of 100m sprints, say 20 of them, and you have to do them in 20 minutes. You sprint the 100m, and have the remainder of the minute to rest, then you sprint again, remainder of the minute to rest, and repeat until the 20mins is up. So basically the quicker you run the 100m in, the more rest time you get, which stops you slacking off, and also makes you work harder. It's better than just jogging the 2km as well because of the start stop aspect - uses more energy. The thing stopping me is the lack of a track lol. I could probably do it down the road I live on as it's straight, and off the main road, but the only problem with that is I don't want to end up looking like a maniac running up and down the street in front of the neighbours haha. i do something similar to train for tennis. 4 400's 6 200's 8 100's all timed Maybe this is a tennis thing then lol. I hated the 400m when I used to sprint. That motherfucker was killer. 200m I didin't mind so much but I wasn't very good at it. 100m and 4 x 100m relay were my faves.
