I agree. Masterson's contract is gigantic but the dude is a beast. 19.4/13, all league third team. Should be awesome in an inside offense. We don't give up anything of real huge value which is warranted because of Brody's deal. None of these guys were going to start (well, maybe wittman if Walk has a bad TC).

Eh, maybe lose value-wise because Brody is freakin awesome. But a lot of things came into play in getting me to do this deal. First of all, Brody's contract will be a mess in about 3-4 seasons. Second of all, I was going to be in HC trouble by having only 6 guys with about 8 mill left...now, I have 8 solid guys with about 8 mill left. Most importantly though, I now have much better depth than I had this year. I really felt like that hurt me as the year progressed. With Wittman and Chiba, I still have a lot of defense inside and I may only lose about 6 ppg (Wittman and Chiba combined vs. Masterson).

Our FC is pretty scary and we have inside guys around them. Just have to find the right depth deal for ellis and/or brock
