BBS Overpaid Players
Eastern Conference
Boston Celtics -
Thomas Edwards III $15,000,000 $15,000,000
Edwards was paid solely based on his amazing shotblocking and rebounding ability. Just 8 seasons ago he was making 5-6 mil for the Boston Celtics...until he became a free agent one offseason and was paid by the New York Knicks (15 mil for 6 years). Now playing for the Celtics again, he has two years left on his deal and still making 15 mil a year. Although he has no offensive skills to speak of, he is still overpaid for being a 2 dimensional player.
Cameron Carter 13,000,000 $13,000,000
Carter became a free agent last offseason and was signed and traded to the Boston Celtics. Although he was making max money before signing with Boston, 13 mil a year is still too much for someone who prefers points over defense. Carter is probably one of the worst defensive wings in the league. Thankfully the players surrounding him bails out his defensive woes. Boston could of got him for less after thinking about it.
New Jersey Nets -
Mel Daniels $13,750,000 $15,000,000 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000
Daniels was a former #4 pick in 2027. After having a great rookie season, Daniels has been declining ever since. He is a sick shot blocker, but other than that he is mediocre. Sure he averages a double-double each game, but his poor fg% is disgusting for a max player that he is. Daniels is only 28 and still has potential to be the player that many thought he would be, but he just doesn't deserve being paid that much.
New York Knicks -
Elvin Hayes $12,500,000 $13,750,000 $15,000,000 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000
Hayes was a former #1 pick in 2024. Just like Daniels, Hayes is a great shot blocker, but the rest of his game is also mediocre. I kind of think he is a bust. I would believe he was paid max money solely because he was a #1 pick and that's okay since he is only 26 and has A potential. But still, I could probably look around the league and find cheaper players as good as him right now.
Atlanta Hawks -
Brody Masterson 22,343,750 $24,375,000 $26,406,250 $28,437,500 $30,468,750
Alright, I know dominant centers are rare to find in this league, but

Detroit Pistons -
Marcus Bigelow $28,862,681 $31,551,000
Bigelow was probably the BEST big to ever come out in BBS history...until he was cursed by injuries over his career. To this day, he is still dominant but sadly, he still hasn't won a ring. He is playing for Detroit, but it is clearly his team isn't a legit contender to win the ship anytime soon. Bigelow is 36 and had multiple chances to win a ring on Las Vegas a few seasons back, but right now Bigelow is playing for fantasy stats and then picking up his paycheck after his work is done. He is overpaid for that reason.
Toronto Raptors -
Kareem Joffer $31,992,188 $34,453,125
Joffer is kind of similar to Bigelow in a sense that both are overpaid and not being able to win a ring, despite how dominant they are. At 34, Joffer is another player who is declining but still getting his own numbers. When Joffer got paid by the Lakers five seasons back, my reaction was like, whoa dude! That's like when Boston signed Myles Taylor.. Anyways, Joffer has two years left remaining on his deal and I doubt he will win anytime soon. Making over 30 mil a year at 34 is too much no matter how good he
Western Conference
Dallas Mavericks -
Simon Ben-Ephraim $21,000,000 $22,750,000 $24,500,000 $26,250,000
SMH... another declining center who is being paid Donald Trump money. Simon was one of the best underrated centers when he played for Toronto, but nowadays he's just overpaid because he really isn't helping his new teams WIN. He is still averaging nice numbers, but he clearly isn't a max player at this stage of his career. I blame gottrunks for offering him the max in the first place.
Minnesota Timberwolves -
Jamal Jenkins $21,000,000 $22,750,000 $24,500,000 $26,250,000
Jenkins was a former #1 pick in 2020. Although he is a sick scorer and all, he just isn't a max player if he's not helping any of his teams win. If he was put in a right situation and was the teams main focal point, then maybe his deal would make sense. But to me, he is one of those guys who loves to stat pad. Then again, he played for the Galo Clippers. I was first hesitant to put Jenkins on this list, but that contract just makes me wonder why he deserved that deal in the first place. If you are going to max Jenkins, then make sure your team is going to win!
LA Clippers -
Myles Taylor $34,453,125

I wouldn't give any 30 year old player that contract no matter how good they were

First of all, I would like to apologize for offering Taylor a max contract 6 seasons ago. I totally regret when I signed him. It was a horrible, horrible signing at that time. I just like to get that out of the way. Thankfully he is an expiring this year.
