No I am not buying an Apple overpriced laptop.
$1,000 for a laptop is stupid.
I get this one for $823.43 and a $100 GC from Amazon.
It's an ASUS which I've heard are very reliable PCs

1.3Ghz is pretty damn slow. But you have a larger than normal cache size (typically is 2mb) and 4 gig of ram is solid. I dont know much about graphics cards or that crap, but the specs on this computer aren't so hot. Get something with a better clock cycle (or whatever, frequency). Damn @ the batter life. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Core_2_microprocessors

n the past, the more GHz or MHz it had, the better it was. It's a bit more complicated now, especially with Intel's horrid naming convention, but it really boils down to the processor's product line and model number. The chart below shows the relative hierarchy of both Intel's and AMD's processors.
Intel i7 / i5 Core 2 Quad Core 2 Duo Core 2 Solo Dual Core Pentium D Pentium 4 Celeron Atom AMD Phenom II Phenom Turion Athlon X2 Athlon 64 Sempron
At this point we should note that there is a lot of overlap in performance of the different product lines, the chart below should only be used as a rough guideline. Additionally, the chart does not indicate performance across both manufacturers (e.g. a Pentium D or Pentium 4 is not going to perform at the same level as an Athlon X2 or Athlon 64).

late at night, a DVD super drive can play you movies, but it can't make you believe in your own self-worth. only you can do that.

The point of that article was to show you that ghz doesn't matter anymore and core duo is one of the best processors. Second no I've checked all the bf deals and there will be nothing like this and if you know anything about the economy you'll know that stores inventory is down from last year so these deals will sell out quick but no for 700 there is no laptop that comes close to this

I already did make my mind up after Ashes explained it to me in detail and I bought it yesterday, I'm getting it friday.
The 11.5 hour battery life is what did it for me.

I also like that I can switch the graphics card on and off when I'm not playing videogames or watching movies. I'm satisfied with the purchase

Literally no chance that battery life is remotely sustainable for any period of time.
