1. Los Angeles Clippers - George Gervin SF 6'7'' 180 22 B+ C+ D+ B C+ A
Gervin is a perfect fit here. The Clippers need something to get excited about and George Gervin is a very exciting player. An insanely athletic player Gervin loves to get to the rim. He is an amazing dunker, and should develop into a fine basketball player as well.
2. Seattle SuperSonics (from the Denver Nuggets) - Bill Walton C 6'11'' 210 21 B C- B- B- B+ A
The Sonics are already a very good young team, so adding the 2nd overall pick is icing on the cake. Bill Walton is perfect for the Sonics. Extremely strong in the backcourt they could use a nice young big body. Bill Walton is a superb player who should bring a little bit of everything to the Sonics.
3. Philadelphia 76ers - Jamaal Wilkes SF 6'6'' 190 21 B+ C C- C+ B- A
The Sixers already have a silky smooth forward in Julius Erving, but you can never have too much of that so they go out an get Silk Wilkes. Wilkes is a great midrange player that loves to score. WIlkes is also a very solid rebounder. The Wilks-Erving wing combo should be deadly for years to come.
4. New Jersey Nets - Maurice Lucas C 6'9'' 215 22 B C- C B B- A
The Nets already have some nice young bigs in Bob McAdoo and Jim Chones but they cant pass on a guy like Maurice Lucas. Mo Luke is a very good young player. He' a good athlete and he's very strong. Most scouts expect him to be a very good BBS big man.
5. Sacramento Kings - John Drew SF 6'6'' 205 20 B C+ C- C B- A
The Kings have some solid players, but they need some depth and some effort from their front office. Drew is probably too young to help the team out, but he could be used as trade bait. Drew is very raw, but he has elite type upside and should be very good.
6. New Orleans Hornets - Billy Knight SF 6'6'' 195 22 B- B- C- C C- A
The Hornets seem to be entering a big time rebuild so taking some potential players will suit them well. Knight has a ton of upside. Knight is very raw, but he should become a big time scorer within 5 years.
7. Milwaukee Bucks (from the Detroit Pistons) - Jan Van Breda Kolff SF 6'7'' 195 22 B C+ C A- C+ B
The Bucks seem to win with depth. Here they get another great piece in VBK. VBK is a big time defender who can do a little of everything. VBK could come in and start right away at SF for the Bucks.
8. Denver Nuggets (from the Los Angeles Lakers) - Bobby Jones SF 6'9'' 210 22 B C C A- C+ B
The Nuggets need to continue to add role players around their young studs George McGinnis and John WIlliamson. In Bobby Jones they get a perfect role player. Jones is a solid offensive player and elite defender.
9. New Jersey Nets (from the Atlanta Hawks) - Campy Russell SF 6'8'' 215 22 B- B C C+ C A
The Nets need to get some more scoring from the perimeter. Russell is much less of a sure thing then Drew or Knight, but he has some upside and some offensive promise. Russell will probably need some RC attention to be an elite player though.
10. Philadelphia 76ers (from the Miami Heat) - Eric Money PG 6'0'' 170 19 C+ C B- C D+ A
The Sixers have a nice young lineup so they can afford to take a risk here in Eric Money. Money is a very raw PG with some nice passing skills. He does tend to turn the ball over some, but if developed correctly he could be very good.
11. Golden State Warriors (from the Portland Trail Blazers) - Mickey Johnson PF 6'10'' 190 22 B- C C+ B C+ B
The Warriors need a big SF to finish off their formidable front line. Micky Johnson is a perfect fit. Extremely long(nicknamed The Rubber Band Man), Johnson is a force on the defensive end.
12. Minnesota Timberwolves - Truck Robinson PF 6'7'' 225 22 B- C- D+ B A- B
The Wolves need a bunch. Here they cant get much. Robinson isn't an elite player. he wont do much on the offensive end. but he will board for you. he will work hard and be a very good player.
13. New Jersey Nets (from the Chicago Bulls) - Tom Burleson C 7'2'' 225 22 C+ D+ D+ B+ B- B
Burleson is a nice big body that should be a solid 3rd big. He wont be a star, probably wont even be a starter.
Gervin is a perfect fit here. The Clippers need something to get excited about and George Gervin is a very exciting player. An insanely athletic player Gervin loves to get to the rim. He is an amazing dunker, and should develop into a fine basketball player as well.
