We're struggling though. We need some DC changes.

Another 3-1 sim. I would like to see us get to at least 2nd in the division.

1-1...we're a .500 team right now. we need a move to start making a push.
Sarunas was very good filling in for Billups in one game. 20 points, 7 assists, 2 steals, on 7-10 shooting. Guy shoots at such a high clip.
Theo is a shotblocking machine.
Stackhouse is scoring 20 a night. Guy can fill it up.

1-0, with a win over Toronto. Scored 130, that might be our high for the season. Manu had 35 on 15-28 shooting, and Baron had 34-11-9 with only 1 TO, completely torching Parker. Baron is going to be the best PG in this sim, if he isn't already. Leads the league in assists at 11.1 per game, and is averaging 22.1 PPG on .494/.797/.469 %'s. Also grabbing 5.6 rebounds per, swiping 1.8 per. He turns it over 3.5 times per game, but that number has been going down every sim. He's a complete stud, and well worth the crap I gave to get him. I think I dealt my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounders in the creation draft + a couple of my own futures well down the line (when he and Manu will be in their primes). Yeee.

2-1. Mutombo goes down in the first game vs the pacers, he was out all sim, and will be out 5 more days. Massenburg is out 15. Right when I switch the pace up to slow this shit happens of course. Anyway, we dominated the pacers, they score 65 points. Beat the kings w/o mutombo, longley stepped up. sdogbbs.com/BBS2000/boxes/38-5.html32 points from bozi, 36 from mashburn Lost to the lakers by 10. No rebounding really with out the big guy, played great though, good percentages, I am very confident with this dc, we are looking good.

Where the fuck is Scott.
His team is not as bad as they are playing, and he's making that pick a lotto one. Damnit.

2-3. Extremely frustrating losses. But we beat Washington, they just seem to be a good matchup for us, not sure why.
Antonio Davis played OK for us today, but it didn't translate into more wins just yet.
Isaiah Rider is coming in next sim, and hopefully he'll deepen our bench some. Will try some different tactics as well. Fortunately, the East is balanced enough right now that even though we're 16-17, we're still in a virtual tie for the 8th seed. So we're nowhere near sunk yet.
I think our starting 5 of Strickland/Kobe/Peja/Juwan/Davis is pretty good. And bench guys like Outlaw, Rider, Mookie, and Donyell are solid enough backups. Just have to find the right way to use them, I guess.

1-2, we need to find the right DC. I'm thinking about starting LaFrentz at SF and going with a big lineup.

Some really exciting things to see about this team and some incredibly disappointing ones as well. I was hoping to land someone in FA but I really didn't have the time or the knowledge to make reasonable bids, so Spence tried to help me out but to no avail.
I'm really glad to have Bobby back on the team, and he's playing very well. On top of that, after a nice TC and solid production RJ looks like he's going to be a stud for a long time coming. Collins had a decent TC and is also looking great as a starting center, and DeShawn has the potential to be a valuable swingman in the same role playing vein. And we're losing games, hopefully enough to miss the playoffs and add a lotto prospect to a solid young core already.
Obviously the biggest upside is D-Mase. See ebener? This is why the price was so high. There aren't many guys in the league with scoring ratings like his, his defense has improved, he's a prolific scorer and damn good across the board otherwise. I don't know if any hype has been made about him from others since I haven't been here, but his statline is ridiculous - 26.6 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 4.2 APG, and 2.3 SPG on 46.1% from the field. Stud.
The only real bad news is that the virtual K-Mart is an even bigger disappointment than the real K-Mart. Both have about as much chance of success as the store they share their nickname with.
Overall, I think we're already heading in a very promising direction, which is nice to see considering I didn't have a lot of time to get this squad set up.
