Position: Point Guard
Strengths:
He is a solid all-around player. Many feel that he will be a great leader for whatever team ends up drafting him. He has a good outside shot, can drive to the basket, has good handles, and can pass marginally well. Nelson is quick with the ball and is a gritty player type of guy. He is also a solid rebounder for a PG of his size.
Weaknesses:
He certainly is not a great passing PG. Nelson could be considered a combo guard, but he does not have the size to play SG. He will not get you a lot of steals, nor is he a particularly gifted positional defender. Also, many scouts feel that what you draft is what you get with Nelson. They do not see a whole lot of room for improvement in this kid.
