Emeka Okafor
Height: 6'10"
Weight: 255 pounds
College: Connecticut
Position: Power Forward
Strengths:
He is a very strong player that has some offensive prowess. Many expect Okafor to be one of the better all-around defenders in this draft. He is a good shot-blocker, gets the occasional steal, and plays very solid positional defense. He is a solid inside scorer with some nice post moves. He should also be one of the better rebounders should he declare for this draft. Emeka is a very strong and gritty player that would be a help to any team in need of a big man. His large frame allows him to outplay those that may be taller than him. Emeka should be a career double-double guy.
Weaknesses:
Scouts feel that his upside is limited. They don't see his offensive game deveoloping much beyond where it is now. Also, while he is a solid scorer, he certainly does not have the offensive upside of a Chris Bosh. He'll probably never score more than 15 PPG. He also is a very poor free throw shooter. He seems to be one of those guys that will average a FT % somewhere in the 50's.
