1. Utah Jazz- Chris Paul PG 5'11'' 175 20 C+ B B+ C+ C A
Paul is clearly the number one pick of this draft. He could easily be the best PG in the league one day. The Jazz get their first piece of their rebuilding and it is a player with superstar potential. If the Jazz can keep the rest of their roster intact, there is no reason that they cannot be a top 3 projected pick again next season. Unfortunately for the Jazz, the number one projected pick has rarely if ever held up in this version of BBS. This is the deepest draft thus far in the BBS. The Jazz will get a very good rebuilding piece regardless of where their pick lands in the top four.
2. Milwaukee Bucks- Andre Iguodala SF 6'6'' 207 21 B- B- B- B- C+ A
After Paul, there are four legitimate choices for the second pick. Iguodala, Deng, Bynum, and Ellis all will receive consideration at each pick of 2-5. The Bucks already have a good young core of Deron Williams, Emeka Okafor, and Jason Richardson and could use any of the previously mentioned players. Iguodala has the best all around ratings in this draft and could be a great addition to the Bucks. All the Bucks need now is a center. If they can find one them they could be a contender as soon as next season.
3. Chicago Bulls- Luol Deng SF 6'9'' 220 20 B C C C+ C+ A
The Bulls are entering their contract year and need a player who can make an instant impact. Deng is definitely that. He will start off as an option for the Bulls and be a very good player in a few seasons. The Bulls will still need a very good TC to become a playoff contender. If the Bulls don’t have a great TC, Deng could very easily be moved for veteran talent in order to save Play’s job.
4. Cleveland Cavs- Andrew Bynum C 7'0'' 285 18 C+ D+ D+ B- C+ A
The Cavs are also entering their contract year. Bynum and Ellis are more long term prospects and are not immediate impact players. However, the Cavs are very thin in their frontcourt and Bynum could be a starter from day one. Whoever is selected with this pick is likely to be moved for a stud veteran to saves James job.
5. Portland Trail Blazers- Monta Ellis SG 6'3'' 175 18 B- C+ C+ C C A
Nenad and Kaman is one of the best young frontcourts in the league. Monta won’t make an immediate impact, but he will be a number one scoring option one day. Finding one of those at the fifth pick is very rare. Monta will fill either the PG or SG spot on the Blazers for a very long time.
6. Phoenix Suns- Marvin Williams SF 6'9'' 230 19 B- C C+ C+ C+ A
The Suns are rebuilding again. Marvin is the best player available at this point and is a great fit to play with Shaun Livingston. The Suns already have two very nice pieces to their rebuilding, and will add a third next season because neither Williams or Livingston can carry a team to many victories.
7. Los Angeles Clippers-David Lee PF 6'9'' 240 22 B- C C+ C+ B A
The Clippers have their future frontcourt already set with Biedrins, Darko, and J.Smith. David Lee does not fill a need, but there are no guards who are worth taking at this point. The Clippers are forced to select the best player available in Lee. The Clippers could try to run a big lineup with Lee at SF and Smith at SG. It is more likely that they trade Lee to a Knicks fan for a SG or PG of the future though.
8. Washington Wizards-Andrew Bogut C 7'0'' 242 20 B- C C C+ C+ A
The Wizards need to surround KG with any talent possible. Bogut should be at least an above average starting center that could be a very good player someday. The Wizards will still need more talent to really contend, but Bogut is a start to helping out KG.
9. Sacramento Kings-Fran Vazquez C 6'11'' 234 22 B- C- C- C+ C+ A
The Kings need a better pick than #9 to start off their rebuilding. Whether they get some lotto luck or fall in the standings, the ninth selection isn’t going to cut it for this team. Vazquez could be a great big just as easy as he could be a bust. Any player the Kings select is going to likely be a boom or bust type of prospect. Landing a stud big man would be more significant than a stud guard. This makes Vasquez the pick.
10. Toronto Raptors (from Boston Celtics)- Gerald Green SG 6'6'' 200 18 B- C+ C- C C A
Green is an amazing talent. He is also very lazy. If he had a better work ethic he would be in the top five in this draft. Instead, he slips all the way to number ten. Should Green live up to his potential the Raptors will have one of the best backcourts in the league. If Green is a bust, the Raptors won’t suffer much, but they will not be a contender with their current talent. Either way Green should end up being a good enough scorer to be of value at this pick.
11. Toronto Raptors-Jason Maxiell PF 6'7'' 250 22 B C- C- C+ C+ B
Maxiell is a shot blocker who will be at least a solid starter. He is possibly the safest pick that will be made in the second half of the lotto. Al Jefferson will be capable of starting at center, making room for Maxiell at PF. This is a perfect fit for the Raptors.
12. Phoenix Suns (from Memphis Grizzlies)- Danny Granger SF 6'9'' 228 22 C+ C+ C B+ C+ B
The Suns already added Marvin Williams in this draft. By drafting Danny Granger, they solidify their backcourt for the next few seasons. Granger is not going to be a star in this league, but he will be a solid starter. He will consistently score in double figures, play good defense, and be a good rebounder for his position.
13. Los Angeles Lakers (from Philadelphia 76ers)- Channing Frye C 6'10'' 247 22 B- C- D+ B- C+ B
The Lakers traded Zach Randolph for this pick. They bring in a big man who has the potential to be just as good as Randolph. The Lakers are about to enter rebuilding and starting off with a solid big man is never a bad thing to start off with.
Anything that doesn't make sense I will fix later. I am way too tired at this point to read over this.
