What are your plans for this team this year. What do you hope to accomplish and how do you plan on accomplishing that. What should we expect from the Cleveland Cavs this year?
We plan on winning 40+ games and making the playoffs to ensure that I remain in the BBS as a GM. We’ve had pretty bad luck since we started rebuilding. For example, last season we had the projected 3 pick all year and then we end up going something like 8-2 in our last 10 and drop down to =7th and then lose on a tie-breaker.
I’d like to move one of TJ Ford/Ben Gordon/Carlos Boozer/Andrew Bogut plus a few picks for a star player also. I have a lot of future picks, which are very valuable and could be worth a lot.
Who is the hardest GM to trade with? Who are the GM's that are most reluctant to move their players.
The hardest GM to trade with is Outlawz because he only ever wants to walk out of the deal on top. The GM that values his players more than anyone else would have to be Reilly. He asks a lot for his players (ie. Billups before, Artest now) and rarely moves any of his bigger players (probably due to activity or will to win more so than player value).
GM Pickem
Right now we have 5 matchups of GM's to open off with. You tell me who is better and why.
Krupinski vs Reilly vs Outlawz
This one is out of Krup and Outlawz. Both are hard to deal with and both have assembled great teams in both this version and in the previous version of BBS. I love how Outlawz has collected future picks whilst building the best team in the BBS this year however I think Krups strategy of building a winning young team gives him the nod here.
Haberman vs Mark vs Basone
Basone isn’t even in the same class as Haberman and Mark. When it comes down to it though, I think Marks better simply because he is more consistent with his teams. He always has 1 or 2 valuable pieces (if he isn’t winning) or a great record when he is. Haberman is always very good or incredibly bad.
Nova vs Skillz vs Ducky
Ducky has been great in this version of the BBS, as has Nova. Skillz has also done well but he does tend to trade in circles however looking at his team now, it was probably worth it. Overall, I’d say Nova is the best GM however I think Ducky, followed by Skillz have done the best job in BBS.
Scott vs Blue vs Greggor
Incredibly hard as you don’t see much from three of these guys on the board (hyping up there team, etc…). Greggor got very lucky in the lottery, which is why I believe he has a very nice young team on paper. Scott won a championship in the first year and I’m not really sure that Blue has done that much with his Suns team in the BBS. I honestly couldn’t pick one to be honest, I don’t know enough about each GM and what moves they’ve made.
Maniac vs Andy vs Ebener
Andy is the best here, followed by Maniac. Manicas killer combo of Arenas and Hinrich is killer however the team Andy assembled whilst on his championship run was incredible. Since that team, he now has a young Chris Paul to build around.
Who is the most overrated GM in this league and why?
Probably DJ. He hasn’t done anything with his team really. Landed a great building block in T-Mac during the inaugural draft and then jumped from 9 to 1 to land Parker in the draft. He then dealt T-Mac for Jefferson which despite Krup’s sentiments, wasn’t really a tough deal to make in terms of talent and since then, hasn’t done very much.
Who is the most underrated GM in this league and why?
Probably Jordan. I didn’t realise up until today that he actually has Kobe, Okafor AND Bynum. That team is awesome.
This week on the Hot Seat we have the call-out seat. You are viewed as a premier GM among the sims of the internet. This is your chance to call-out GM's as you please. Whether you think your better then them, whether they think they are better then they really are, whether there annoying. This is your chance to take out your fury on the league. Please for the sake of integrity get out all the thoughts and don't be nice. What you shall say is completely up to you.
Kris – Your team is pretty shit right now, you seriously have to do something. When you get a player like Kobe Bryant, you should never deal him for a handful of good players. I know you have Ginobilli, but what else? Wheres your team going? Thank goodness I have one of your futures!
Manic – You’re gay. And why don’t you do something to acquire some sort of talent around Arenas and Hinrich? And what’s with Beasley’s, Powells and Magloires contracts?
Jah – Please quit. I’m kind of glad you traded Garnett because he has gotten no love in the BBS. He was forgotten about. You need to be active for the good of the league.
Skillz – LOL @ Wade never moving.
Play – Bad luck, you have really sucked in the BBS. Very hard when you don’t have the league file hey? No just kidding, but seriously, I wish you’d put effort into this league, it’s to bad you didn’t.
A2J – lmk when you put a team together where your best players aren’t Mike Dunleavy, Antoine Walker or Antonio McDyess – in any league.
Martinez – Your team is really really bad. I know you already know that, but I just thought I’d remind you.
Pig – Where have you been?
And finally the climax of this hot seat. BBS decides to join up with NBN to make a superleague. You are placed as the commish of this league. Out of 28 GM's in this league excluding yourself (and lets make pretend that there are no GM's in both leagues) you have to create 4 different groups. You need 8 GM's who are locks for the league. You also need 8 GM's who are omitted from the league. Out of the 12 remaining GM's there are 6 spots left. Please name these 12 GM's who would be grouped in this category and choose the 6 that you would be best suited for the league and why they are there over the other 6. Keep in mind every aspect that makes a quality BBS GM. Experience, Ability and Activity should all be kept in mind.

Bottom 6
A2J

Blue

Basone
-A2J puts together really ugkly teams all the time, Ebener is lucky IMO, Pigs not that active, Blue just missed out same with Scott, Basone is decent.
