What are your plans for this team this year. What do you hope to accomplish and how do you plan on accomplishing that. What should we expect from the Philadelphia 76ers this year?
- Well, I think I easily have the best PG/SG duo in the league right now with Hinrich and Arenas. I’d mostly like to add some talent around them without hurting our future. It really will not take a whole lot to win with those two. Hopefully I can shuffle Beasley, Powell, Collins, and picks for some more established talent. I need some defensive oriented players. I expect Beasley to improve with a reward camp which should increase his value. I just need to wheel and deal until I find a core that I’m satisfied with. I probably will not be a contender this season, but I’ll be looking to set myself up for the future. I’d like to at least make the playoffs again, which I think we will, and hopefully knock a few guys off. Also, expect Arenas to win the MVP. It’s a lock. I truly would not trade Gilbert for LeBron, Wade, or any other fuckball in this league. Maybe Yao. Maybe.
Who is the hardest GM to trade with? Who are the GM's that are most reluctant to move their players.
- While he is one of my favorite GM’s I think Aar is a pain in the ass to deal with. He values his players an insane amount and usually comes into negotiations with rape on his mind. Ducky is an idiot so that always makes it difficult to deal with him. It’s like talking to a brick wall, only much less interesting. Nova overvalues his players quite a bit which makes it tough to negotiate with him. Plus, he’s a little piece of shit.
GM Pickem
Right now we have 5 matchups of GM's to open off with. You tell me who is better and why.
Krupinski vs Reilly vs Outlawz
- I’ll go with Outlawz, Krupinski, and Reilly in that order. I’d consider the first two on a near even level, but Krup gets bumped down for once being a volleyball player (and bragging about it on top of that). Reilly seems to be a solid GM, but he just hasn’t done anything to put him on an elite level since I’ve been here. Outlawz and Krup both have built various excellent squads. I expect them to meet in the finals again this year. That last Billups for Battier trade really sucked dick though.
Haberman vs Mark vs Basone
- I’d say Haberman, Mark, and Basone in that order. I like just about every move that Habes has made despite having some Skillz like trading disorder at times. He seems to love making moves. I didn’t like the Kobe Bryant trade that Mark made as I feel he’ll never be a stud PG, but he still is a solid GM. Basone annoyed me at first, but he’s alright. He seems to be a pretty cool guy and a solid GM. Mark has the title, so it’s tough to say he isn’t on top of this list, but I think Habes has an excellent core right now. I’m not a big fan of giving out ties so he gets the edge.
Nova vs Skillz vs Ducky
- This is like picking between getting castrated, raped by a gorilla, or impregnating my mother. They’re all awful. In all seriousness, Skillz, Nova, a blind midget, and Ducky in that order. Skillz and Nova are both solid GM’s. Skillz doesn’t really annoy me. Nova really does annoy me. Ducky is an idiot. Skillz tends to trade away his players like they all have syphilis, Nova is a stingy fuck, and Ducky struggles with logic. I stick with my original order.
Scott vs Blue vs Greggor
- Greg, Blue, and then Scott in that order. Scott seems to be a very nice guy, but that doesn’t win you much in sims. His activity is spotty and the same can be said about his team. None of these three teams has a great future right now, but the Rockets are on the inside track with Dwight Howard. They’ve put together some solid pieces, but Bosh being a turd doesn’t really help them. They’re all nice guys, solid enough GM’s. Blue makes some very excellent sigs so he does get some extra points for that. My Gilbert sig is absolutely sick.
James vs Andy vs Ebener
- Andy, Eboner, and James. Andy knows how to win and then tank with the best of them. He built a slightly successful team, failed with Shaq (unlike myself), and then tanked it for one of the best young players in the league. He’s just a good GM in general – active, knows that Play cheats rampantly, and likes to dish out a little lovin’ (if you know what I mean). Eboner can be annoying at times but he also puts together some solid teams. James is an idiot. Nobody likes Australia and nobody really likes him. He’ll go to hell simply because of his little homo abbreviations. Basically, James is a pedophile.
Who is the most overrated GM in this league and why?
- This is tough. DJ has yet to impress me in this league. He seems to enjoy making a solid young core and then tearing it right back down. I think Nova sucks at about everything. I think this new GTA IV is definitely NOT overrated. It’s disgusting. James sucks wang, but we all know that. I think Reilly is a little overrated. He’s a nice guy, seems to be a solid GM, but he’s been far from excellent. The GM core in this league is really solid in general, but those would be the few I can think of at this point.
Who is the most underrated GM in this league and why?
- Martinez. I’ve given him a lot of shit, but he is actually a solid GM. He has put together a decent core out in Memphis and definitely has an idea of what he’s doing. Most people say he sucks, but they’re just right. Martinez is actually an idiot. I’d say Jordan the Hoopie is the most underrated in this league. He has put together an absolutely disgusting core together in Milwaukee and a lot of people seem to have not noticed at this point. His team could run the East for quite some time if everything works out well for him. I actually wrote this before James posted his version so fuck off.
This week on the Hot Seat we have the call-out seat. You are viewed as a premier GM among the sims of the internet. This is your chance to call-out GM's as you please. Whether you think your better then them, whether they think they are better then they really are, whether there annoying. This is your chance to take out your fury on the league. Please for the sake of integrity get out all the thoughts and don't be nice. What you shall say is completely up to you.
- Nova sucks. He’s full of himself and it disgusts me. He’ll definitely never get laid and probably won’t amount to much in life. I think he’s one of those kids that has been sheltered throughout his teen years and will implode once he gets to college. Look for that homo to get caught on a six day drinking binge that results in him getting gonorrhea from a forty-year old black transsexual that’s wanted for murder. It’s only a matter of time.
- Martinez should really just be fired. He’s useless. That’s all.
- James shouldn’t really be allowed to call people out in his Hot Seat. He has the intelligence level and shit talking ability of a teenage girl. OMG James, shut the fuck up.
- Krup likes to fuck with people’s mind. He was certain that Al Jeff would be a bust, had full confidence that Travis Outlaw would be a solid player, and he just seems far to full of himself. I like him, but volleyball? Play a real sport damnit.
- I still hate that Kobe Bryant deal for Mark. I think Deron Williams will be a good, but not great PG. Hinrich > Deron Williams, and he always will be.
- Ducky is just about as useless as Martinez, but not quite. Oregon sucks at just about everything. That’s a fact. Also, enjoy watching Dennis Dixon, the only useful thing from Oregon, donning the Black and Gold, hahahaha. Owned, faggot.
- A2J needs to accept the fact that Gilbert Arenas is better than his entire team.
- Pig, what the fuck is up with this thing?
- GTA is fucking SICK. SICK!!!
- The Penguins are definitely going to go up 3-0 over the faggot ass ‘Blueshirts’ tomorrow. FYI NY’ers – the ‘Blueshirts’ suck a giant cock.
- Rashard Mendenhall, Willie Parker, Limas Sweed, Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes? Poor NFL.
And finally the climax of this hot seat. BBS decides to join up with NBN to make a superleague. You are placed as the commish of this league. Out of 28 GM's in this league excluding yourself (and lets make pretend that there are no GM's in both leagues) you have to create 4 different groups. You need 8 GM's who are locks for the league. You also need 8 GM's who are omitted from the league. Out of the 12 remaining GM's there are 6 spots left. Please name these 12 GM's who would be grouped in this category and choose the 6 that you would be best suited for the league and why they are there over the other 6. Keep in mind every aspect that makes a quality BBS GM. Experience, Ability and Activity should all be kept in mind.
- I have a headache after reading that. Obviously, I’d be the cornerstone of this league. In all seriousness, I’ve actually discussed something like this with a few GM’s in the past, but I think there is to much tension between some for this to work.
Top Eight Locks (in no order):
- Krup
- Mark
- Haberman
- Jordan
- A2J
- Andy
- Outlawz
- Skillz
These guys are all just solid GM’s. Krup devotes far to much of his life to this league. Mark is a solid GM, solid guy, and he’s just a good guy to have around. I hated Habes at first, but he’s alright. Quite active and pesters Spence like no other. Jordan has a sick team and I like talking about Big East Football with him. A2J is very active, but he just needs to realize how much of a god Gilbert has become. Andy is gay. That’s really it for him. I think his wife has decent sized juggies. Outlawz can make a team. That’s what this is all ultimately about. Skillz, well, he trades a lot. Trades are good for activity.
Get the Fuck Out (in no order):
- Martinez (hahaha he sucks so bad)
- Quackers
- Keelty
- Scott
- Jah
- DJ
- Galo
- Greg
I like a lot of these guys. Martinez is useless. That was easy. Same for Quackers. Keelty is just far to inactive for my liking and he traded Kobe for Manu. Right. Scott is a nice guy but he is also a bit inactive. Same goes for Jah, although he gets extra points for being a Wizards fan. DJ doesn’t impress me. Sorry. Galo will probably be a contract year victim due to his activity. He has a nice core, but he is never around. I basically had to pick someone random for my final out. Greg is a nice guy, but he seems to have lapses in activity. He’s also made a few trades that I didn’t like much.
Remaining Top Six (in no order):
- James
- Play
- Aar
- Tiger
- Pig
- Dan
Tough stuff. James is an utter moron, but I’d keep him around for his activity. Play is a much better GM than he has shown in BBS and he’s my sim league friend. He’d definitely be in my league. Aar is one of the best GM’s, but his activity prevented him from being a lock. Same goes for Tiger. Pig is just a little off his rocker which is always fun to have around. He’s also a hockey fan. Dan, who I hated at first, is a solid GM and is solid activity wise. He’d be welcomed.
Get the Fuck Out v. II (in no order):
- Reilly
- Nova
- Eboner
- Bluedevils
- Allstar
- Nanz
These are all tough choices. Reilly seems to be held in high regard around here so I’d certainly consider him for my superleague. Nova is gay. That automatically knocked him out. Eboner has sporadic bouts of activity. Bluedevils makes wicked sigs, which I definitely appreciate, but he just hasn’t done enough for me. Allstar just joined so I left him off. Same goes for Nanz. Cool. I like my league.
On that note, Pig is a psycho. I was legitimately confused by a fucking Hot Seat question.
